A new report has added further fuel to speculation surrounding Baron Corbin potentially returning to WWE.
According to Fightful Select, former WWE star Tom Pestock, better known recently as Bishop Dyer and formerly as Baron Corbin, is believed to be fulfilling his remaining commitments before returning to WWE. The report noted that Pestock is expected to wrap up his time with Major League Wrestling, where he has been teaming with Donovan Dijak as The Skyscrapers.
Fightful added that several people within the wrestling industry believe Pestock is either already signed with WWE or very close to finalising a deal. Pestock last appeared in WWE in October 2024 before later learning his contract would not be renewed. Following his departure, he rebuilt himself on the independent scene under the Bishop Dyer name while competing for multiple promotions.
During his MLW run alongside Dijak, The Skyscrapers captured the MLW World Tag Team Championships and held the titles for 329 days. Pestock also made a one-off appearance for AEW earlier in 2026.
Baron Corbin’s WWE Run
Baron Corbin originally signed with WWE in 2012 and remained with the company until 2024. During his run, he captured the WWE United States Championship, won the 2017 Money in the Bank ladder match, became King of the Ring in 2019, and also held the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside Bron Breakker.
The former NFL player is now reportedly nearing a WWE comeback after roughly two years away from the company.
