The director behind Hulk Hogan: Real American has revealed that a large amount of material did not make the final cut.
Speaking on the Ham Radio Show, Hulk Hogan: Real American director Bryan Storkel confirmed that several elements were removed during editing, despite enough content existing for additional episodes.
“There’s definitely more that you could cover. I mean, there are so many things that got cut out. But we decided on four parts, and it’s four hours worth, and we just put in the best stuff or the stuff we could fit. I think there’s so much more, though.”
Storkel added that while there could be an argument for expanding the series, there are currently no plans to release any extra footage or produce additional episodes.
“I mean, I think you can do more episodes, there would be an argument made for that. But there’s definitely no talk of that,” he said.
Hulk Hogan Docuseries Debuted With Strong Numbers On Netflix
The documentary, centred on Hulk Hogan, is streaming on Netflix and debuted strongly, ranking fifth globally in its first week with three million views and over 12 million hours watched. Despite the success and the volume of unused material, the project is, for now, set to remain a four-part series.
