Nick Khan believes WWE fans will go home happy from the WrestleMania 43 weekend.
In September, WWE announced that WrestleMania 43 will see the annual spectacular leave North America for the first time in its history. Instead, the two-night show will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of Riyadh Season.
While the exact date is yet to be revealed, WWE President Nick Khan says the company is already “across the creative” for the Showcase of The Immortals. Speaking to The Varsity, Khan also laid out the plans for the US, which will see viewing parties for both nights at New York City’s MSG Theater, as well as NXT and AAA shows in the same venue.
“It’s never been outside of the US or Canada. It’s going to be in Riyadh. It’s going to be a significant show. We’re already across the creative, of course that’s subject to any injury.
“We’re already across the creative, and in addition to that, we announced two shows from the MSG Theater. WrestleMania Saturday will have a watchalong party followed by either NXT or AAA. And the next day, MSG Theater, a watchalong party, followed by either NXT or AAA, whichever one didn’t go on the Saturday night.
“So, we’re also going to do viewing parties and all of these things from the US and other countries. We think, ultimately, the fans will go home happy.”
Nick Khan Has Supported WWE Star’s Outside Opportunities
During a recent interview, WWE star Nattie credited Nick Khan for allowing her to take bookings outside of the company. In recent years, Nattie has appeared in promotions including Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport, GCW, and the NWA, something she says Vince McMahon would never have allowed. The star said both Khan and Triple H not only supported her, but encouraged her to “spread her wings” and find creative fulfillment wherever it might take her.
