The fallout from WrestleMania 42 took centre stage on WWE Raw, with major storylines continuing, tensions escalating across multiple divisions, and a new challenger stepping forward in the show-closing segment.
A lengthy opening video package recapped the key moments from WrestleMania, including the emotional scene involving Brock Lesnar removing his gloves and boots. Commentary noted that Lesnar “has called it a day”, with his career set to be revisited later in the night.
Oba Femi opened the live portion of last night’s show, arriving in a suit to a strong reaction from the crowd. With chants of his name echoing around the arena, Femi kept his message brief.
“The ruler has arrived,” he said, before dropping the microphone and soaking in the response.
Iyo Sky & Rhea Ripley Vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane
A pre-taped message from Asuka and Kairi Sane set the tone, with Asuka claiming credit for Iyo Sky’s success and warning that Sky and Rhea Ripley would face consequences.
Ripley entered to a strong reaction, with a replay shown of her WrestleMania title victory. The match began with early interference attempts from Asuka and Sane, allowing them to gain control. Sane connected with an Insane Elbow to the outside following a distraction, and the Kabuki Warriors maintained the advantage through the early stages.
Ripley eventually fought back, creating an opening for Sky to enter. Sky’s hot tag shifted momentum, as she connected with strikes, a double dropkick, and running meteoras to energise the crowd.
Near falls followed, including a sequence where Ripley delivered a Razor’s Edge, and Sky added a missile dropkick. The closing stretch saw Sky dive onto Asuka at ringside before Ripley hit Riptide on Sane. Sky followed with a moonsault to secure the victory.

Backstage, Adam Pearce congratulated Penta on his recent ladder match performance. Je’Von Evans interrupted, stating his intention to become Intercontinental Champion, though Penta dismissed the idea.
Pearce then introduced Ethan Page as the newest member of Raw. Page immediately targeted the Intercontinental Championship and mocked Evans, leading Pearce to book a match between the two later in the night.
CM Punk entered to a mixed reaction and delivered a reflective promo, discussing a series of personal losses in recent months, including the passing of friends and WWE staff members.
Punk acknowledged his WrestleMania defeat and admitted it stung, but credited the fans for helping him process his grief.
“I’m still the best in the world,” he said, adding that he would remain ready for future opportunities.
Cody Rhodes interrupted, visibly injured with a swollen eye. Rhodes admitted he expected a different reaction from Punk following his loss.
The exchange remained tense but respectful, with Punk encouraging Rhodes to continue defending the title while hinting he would be ready when another opportunity arose. Rhodes responded, “Just say when.”
Finn Balor addressed his issues with Judgment Day, stating he was not finished and specifically calling out JD McDonagh, setting up their match later in the night.
Ethan Page vs Je’Von Evans
The match began at a fast pace, with Evans showcasing his athleticism. However, the contest was disrupted when Rusev appeared at ringside.
Evans briefly fought him off, but the distraction proved costly. Back in the ring, Page capitalised, hitting Twisted Grin for the win.
Following the match, Rusev attacked Evans and applied the Accolade. Penta attempted to intervene but was also taken out, as Rusev stood tall with the Intercontinental Championship.

Danhausen appeared in a comedic segment, declaring himself the new “GOAT” and listing various demands, including a cereal brand and an animated series.
The broadcast also highlighted several notable attendees, including Tyrese Haliburton, Funny Marco, Paige, Brie Bella, and Nikki Bella.
Liv Morgan vs Sol Ruca
Liv Morgan entered alongside Judgment Day, declaring herself the greatest Women’s World Champion. She was interrupted by Sol Ruca, who praised her before tensions escalated.
Adam Pearce made the match official.
Ruca impressed early with high-impact offence, including a springboard moonsault. Morgan regained control following a distraction and worked through the break.
The closing stretch saw Ruca hit the Sol Snatcher, but Morgan rolled out of the ring to avoid defeat. Outside interference from Zaria allowed Morgan to recover, and she capitalised with Oblivion for the win.

Following the match, Stephanie Vaquer confronted Morgan on the ramp.
Paul Heyman entered with tag champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Heyman praised Brock Lesnar and referenced an outstanding favour owed to Gunther.
Bron Breakker interrupted, boasting about his recent actions. Seth Rollins then attacked Breakker, sparking a brawl that drew in multiple competitors, including the Street Profits, who chased off the champions.
Breakker ultimately regained control, hitting Rollins with multiple spears to end the segment.
Finn Balor vs JD McDonagh
Balor attacked McDonagh before the match officially began, taking the fight through the crowd. Once the bout started, McDonagh gained control and delivered a physical performance, even causing Bálor to bleed from the mouth.
Despite the damage, Balor rallied, countering a moonsault and finishing the match with a Coup de Grace.
Winner: Finn Balor
Dominik Mysterio attempted a post-match attack, but Bálor fought him off before McDonagh pulled Mysterio to safety.
Gunther stated he intended to reclaim the world title, dismissing any alliance with Heyman. LA Knight interrupted, making it clear he was also targeting the championship.
Backstage, Ripley and Sky shared an emotional farewell, with Ripley confirming her move to SmackDown as champion. The moment ended with mutual respect as they parted ways.
Roman Reigns closed the show alongside Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso, calling for acknowledgement and addressing family ties.
Reigns spoke about unity and the importance of standing together, with Jimmy reaffirming their loyalty.
The segment was interrupted by Jacob Fatu, who made it clear he was targeting Reigns’ position and everything that came with it.
“I don’t want the title, I need the title,” Fatu said, outlining his motivations and promising to challenge Reigns at Backlash.
Reigns questioned whether Fatu could handle the pressure of the role before telling him to consider the challenge and promising an answer next week.
The show closed with Reigns and The Usos leaving together, while Fatu stood firm.
