WWE Raw delivered a chaotic and storyline-heavy episode, with major developments heading into Backlash.
Roman Reigns arrived with purpose, immediately heading backstage toward the Gorilla position. Adam Pearce attempted to stop him, eventually managing to get his attention long enough to deliver crucial news: Jacob Fatu was not in the building.
Before Reigns could fully react, Seth Rollins crossed his path. The two exchanged words briefly before Rollins headed out to the ring, choosing a different route through the stage.
Moments later, chaos erupted. Bron Breakker ambushed Rollins from behind, launching a vicious attack that immediately overwhelmed officials. Breakker press-slammed Rollins onto the edge of the barricade in a brutal spot that drew a loud reaction from the crowd.
Despite security attempting to intervene, Breakker repeatedly broke through, continuing the assault. He eventually dragged Rollins into the ring and delivered a thunderous spear, one of his most impactful yet. Fans reacted with a mix of boos and chants for more, highlighting Breakker’s growing presence.
Backstage later, Rollins refused to show weakness. Speaking with Jackie Redmond, he insisted he would be ready for Backlash, warning that Breakker had not finished what he started.
Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh
Backstage, tension brewed within Judgment Day. Liv Morgan questioned Roxanne Perez about her previous interaction with Finn Balor. Perez assured Morgan of her loyalty, though her tone suggested she was simply telling Morgan what she wanted to hear.
That tension carried into the ring as Balor faced JD McDonagh. The match featured strong technical exchanges early, with McDonagh targeting Balor’s leg to slow him down.
Balor rallied after the break, hitting a slingblade and double stomp while also knocking Dominik Mysterio off the apron. However, interference continued to play a decisive role. Dominik repeatedly tripped Balor while the referee was distracted, and although he was eventually ejected, the damage had been done.
The closing moments saw Morgan distract the referee while handing a hammer to Perez. Perez struck Balor, confirming her allegiance to Judgment Day, allowing McDonagh to capitalise with a headbutt for the pinfall.
Winner: JD McDonagh
Los Americanos were interviewed, and El Grande poked fun at OG Americano, stating that he doesn’t know how to speak Spanish and hyped up their six-man tag match set for later in the show.
The Vision was mocking Rollins backstage by suggesting that he sounds like a duck as Paul Heyman entered and asked if Rollins was still breathing, to which Breakker replied timidly, “Yes.”
Logan Paul said that Joe Hendry wouldn’t be breathing after he was done with him and pleaded with Heyman to get a match against the former NXT Champion, but Heyman refused as he didn’t want Paul to end up in prison, and instead stated that Austin Theory would face Hendry.
Penta and Je’Von Evans vs. Rusev and Ethan Page
Penta and Je’Von Evans brought high energy against Rusev and Ethan Page.
Evans stood out early, launching himself at Rusev with repeated dives that drew loud cheers. Penta followed with his trademark offence, including a Penta Driver that nearly ended the match.
The tide turned when Rusev distracted Penta, allowing Page to isolate him during the commercial break. Although Evans eventually made the hot tag and exploded with offence, including a German suplex and springboard clothesline, the heels regained control.
The finish came after Page tripped Penta using the apron skirt, setting up Rusev to drive him onto the announce table. Page then delivered a fisherman’s suplex variation for the win. Notably, Rusev celebrated afterwards, a rare moment of visible emotion since his return.
Winners: Rusev and Ethan Page
A major moment came as Sol Ruca was officially introduced to WWE Raw. Adam Pearce framed it as a significant step following her NXT success.
Before Ruca could sign her contract, Becky Lynch interrupted, immediately shifting the focus onto herself. Lynch complained about being overlooked despite her WrestleMania momentum and recent win.
Ruca pushed back, calling Lynch arrogant and refusing to be overshadowed. The exchange drew a strong crowd reaction, particularly when Ruca warned Lynch not to interrupt her again.
After signing the contract, chaos followed. Lynch attempted a cheap shot but accidentally struck Pearce. While Lynch reacted in disbelief, Ruca capitalised, delivering the Sol Snatcher to leave her laid out and firmly establish herself on the brand.
Redmond interviewed The Usos ahead of Reigns and Fatu’s contract signing and said that they weren’t concerned about how their alignment with Reigns would affect their relationship with Fatu, but they also warned him that he’s in deep water by messing with Reigns and wished him luck for Backlash.
Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory
Joe Hendry made his presence felt before facing Austin Theory by singing a song in the ad break that continued into the broadcast.
Logan Paul interfered, attacking Hendry for a disqualification. The aftermath escalated rapidly as the Street Profits made the save, only for Breakker to reappear and dismantle them with suplexes.
Rollins returned to confront Breakker, briefly gaining the upper hand before a distraction allowed Breakker to deliver another spear, continuing his dominance.
Winner: Joe Hendry via disqualification
Redmond spoke with Judgment Day backstage as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez called out the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Brie Bella and Paige, to invite them to WWE Raw.
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria interrupted the interview, and Bayley said she saw the cheating that Judgment Day performed in Balor and McDonagh’s match and warned them that she and Valkyria weren’t going away without a fight.
Oba Femi vs. Otis
Oba Femi issued an open challenge that was initially answered by Akira Tozawa. However, Tozawa quickly backed down and sent Otis in his place.
Otis matched Femi’s power early, with neither man budging during shoulder tackles. Femi eventually took control, delivering a huge uppercut before showcasing his strength by lifting Otis from the ropes into a devastating Fall From Grace powerbomb.
The crowd responded strongly to the display of power.
Winner: Oba Femi
Rollins ran into the Street Profits and Hendry backstage and “thanked” Ford for helping him get speared by Breakker again. Ford said that nobody trusts Rollins after his original involvement with The Vision, and Rollins said that they were all in the same war against Heyman’s faction and that they need to work together. However, Rollins then told Ford to stay out of his way and that he would stay out of his.
A pre-taped segment between Iyo Sky and Asuka added emotional depth to their feud.
Sky expressed admiration for Asuka as a mentor but admitted their relationship had changed. Asuka responded coldly, calling Sky her biggest disappointment before abruptly ending the conversation by spraying mist into her face, leaving officials scrambling to assist.
Redmond interviewed OG El Grande Americano and the Creed Brothers under their new personas, Los Americanos Hermanos, as OG Americano said he asked for Hermanos help as they took after his good friend, Chad Gable.
El Grande Americano, Bravo Americano, and Rayo Americano vs. OG El Grande Americano, Bruto Creedo, and Julio Creedo
The six-man tag featuring Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers in their Americano personas created chaotic action. The match featured rapid tags and high-paced sequences, though it proved difficult to follow due to the masked identities.
Gable ultimately secured the win with a diving headbutt to Bravo, closing out the frenetic contest.
Winners: OG El Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos
The main event segment saw Adam Pearce host the contract signing between Reigns and Fatu. Reigns received a strong reaction and demanded acknowledgement before speaking.
He focused heavily on respect, referencing his years of leadership and his role in elevating the family. Reigns emphasised a code of honour, criticising Fatu for breaking it with last week’s attack.
Fatu responded with intensity, admitting desperation and declaring his intent to take everything, even if it meant going through his own blood.
Both men signed the contract, but tensions exploded immediately. Fatu repeatedly attempted the Tongan Death Grip, with Reigns initially countering. However, Fatu eventually locked it in and overpowered Reigns, slamming him through the announce table.
Officials rushed to check on Reigns as Fatu stood tall, closing the show with a dominant statement ahead of Backlash.
