Greetings and salutations! The post-Slammiversary edition of TNA iMPACT! continued the company’s new era as champions defended their gold, the inaugural Knockouts Television Championship Tournament rolled on, and several major rivalries took shape heading deeper into the summer. Here is the full card for TNA iMPACT!

TNA World Tag Team Championship: The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) (c) vs. The Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch)

The challengers did an excellent job cutting the ring in half and isolating Jeff Hardy, forcing the champions onto the defensive for much of the match. Matt eventually received the hot tag and cleaned house, swinging momentum back in favor of the champions.

The Good Hands nearly stole the victory with underhanded tactics, but Matt broke up the deciding pinfall. Moments later, Jeff connected with the Swanton Bomb to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Winner: The Hardys (still TNA World Tag Team Champions)

Tasha Steelz is at ringside with The Great Hands after the loss. Mustafa Ali arrives alongside Special Agent 0. Ali stares at them and is not happy then makes a call…. WHO CAN IT BE?!?!

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Lei Ying Lee. Miller brings up Lee’s loss to Xia Brookside at Slammiversary, Lee says losing the title hurt, but losing someone she considered a friend hurt even more. She believes Brookside chose championship gold over their friendship, making her intentions crystal clear.

Lee vows there will be no excuses tonight, promising to fight with all of her heart, honor, and warrior spirit. She ends by declaring that she will reclaim the TNA Knockouts World Championship in the main event.

The King’s Speech…

Frankie Kazarian welcomes Moose to The King’s Speech and congratulates him on defeating Eddie Edwards in the No Surrender Match at Slammiversary. Moose calls it the most emotional night of his career, saying celebrating the victory with his wife and son meant more than any championship he’s won. He also declares himself the true “face of the franchise,” saying TNA has been his home for the past decade.

Kazarian mocks Moose’s claims, reminding everyone that he’s a TNA original, Grand Slam Champion, and the self-proclaimed “King of TNA.” Moose acknowledges Kazarian’s accomplishments before pointing out they’ve never faced each other in a singles match and then says its a dream match for him.

Before Kazarian can say anything else, AJ Francis and Expressions are out. Francis takes a shot at Moose’s NFL career, leading Moose to challenge him to a match. Expressions accepts on Francis’ behalf but announces the bout will take place next week.

A video package airs featuring Elijah reflecting on his TNA journey and his pursuit of the TNA World Championship.

Elijah says while he has enjoyed entertaining fans and creating memorable moments, his ultimate goal has always been capturing the TNA World Championship. He promises to lead everyone who has supported him toward the “promised land” and believes their time is finally coming.

Elijah closes by declaring he is no longer a boy, but a man, and that the TNA World Championship is within reach.

Knockouts Television Championship Tournament – First Round: Indi Hartwell vs. Vicki Venuto

Our quick match of the week! Vicki Venuto pushed Indi Hartwell much further than many expected. Venuto had several impressive near falls, including one following a perfectly timed cutter that nearly gave us a huge upset.

Hartwell remained composed, and planted Venuto with the Hurts Donut to advance into the quarterfinals.

Winner: Indi Hartwell

A video package airs highlighting Fabian Aichner’s journey and his pursuit of the X-Division Championship.

Aichner says his goal is to prove he is the number one wrestler in TNA every time he steps inside the ring. He reflects on his journey from growing up in Italy, becoming a professional skier, and discovering wrestling, saying everything led him to this moment.

Aichner says that he refuses to let anyone stop him once he sets his sights on a goal. With the X-Division Championship in his sights, he says defeating Cedric Alexander will prove he belongs among TNA’s elite. Aichner calls himself a gladiator inside the ring, and promises to fight for respect, redemption, and recognition while proving that “Fabian Aichner is numero uno.”

Triple Threat Tag Team Match: The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) vs. The System (Brian Myers & Bear Bronson) vs. Leon Slater & Ricky Sosa

Three teams gave us a fast-paced triple threat.

Leon Slater once again dazzled, while The System relied on their veteran teamwork to stay in control whenever possible. With all six competitors battling around ringside late in the match, Vincent and Dutch did their thing. Slater takes out Bronson and Dutch with a dive to the outside. He then sends Bronson back into the ring, allowing Sosa to connect with a running uppercut to pick up the win. capitalized on the chaos to score W for his team.

Winners: Ricky Sosa & Leon Slater

Backstage, Santino Marella watches Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa celebrate as Daria Rae comes in. Ryan Nemeth interrupts, explaining that he expects KC Navarro to insult his brother Nic Nemeth later tonight. Santino tells Ryan to let Navarro speak after his difficult week, but Rae tells Ryan he has every right to defend his family if he feels the need. She then takes a shot at Santino’s relationship with Arianna Grace, saying some people choose to stand up for their families.

Knockouts Television Championship Tournament – First Round: Jody Threat vs. Gabby Forza

Gabby Forza showcased some great in-ring stuff as she constantly overpowered Jody Threat and controlling large portions of the match.

Threat refused to let that keep her down as she narrowly avoided a Vader Bomb. She immediately connected with Pop Shove It to score the victory and move one step closer to becoming the inaugural Knockouts Television Champion.

Winner: Jody Threat

Mustafa Ali is shown fixing his tie in front of a mirror while speaking to someone off-camera. Ali tells the person they were right and that change is needed. Ali sets up a State of the Order Address for next week, where attendance will be mandatory.

Next up on TNA iMPACT! we had KC Navarro comes to the ring and calls out Nic Nemeth because of what happened last week, saying he was hurt after someone he respected turned on him. Navarro demands answers and calls out Nemeth to explain himself.

Nic Nemeth is out and says he believed in Navarro until realizing he didn’t have what it takes to reach the next level. Navarro fires back by pointing out that he recently defeated Ryan Nemeth.

Ryan then attacks Navarro from behind, allowing Nic to join in. Standing over Navarro, Nic tells him to stay away from him and his family, saying Navarro never deserved to stand in his shadow.

TNA Knockouts World Championship – No Disqualification Match : Xia Brookside (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee

Lei Ying Lee attacked before the bell and immediately looked great and took advantage of the champion. Brookside eventually slowed the pace by targeting Lee’s injured leg before grabbing some steel chairs into the match.

Both women used the No Disqualification stipulation to their advantage. Lee mounted several impressive comebacks and it really looked like she was inching towards a “dub” (Win) on multiple occasions.

Lee attempts a punch, but Brookside blocks it with the chair. She then connects with the Dark Side DDT onto the chair to retain her Knockouts World Championship.

Winner: Xia Brookside (still TNA Knockouts World Champion)
