Greetings and salutations! This weeks TNA iMPACT is shaping up to be huge as Mike Santana puts the TNA World Championship on the line against Steve Maclin. The last time the two collided, Santana took out Maclin early with a Super Kick that forced a stoppage. Also scheduled is Mustafa Ali open challenge for the TNA International Championship, with WWE ID Champion Chazz “Starboy” Hall stepping up to answer the call. We will also see the next chapter in the ongoing rivalry between The Hardys and The Righteous as Matt Hardy is Broken again and he takes on Vincent. So without further ado, let’s get straight to the action.
The New X-Division Champion Speaks
Newly-crowned X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander opened the show alongside The System. Each member took turns boasting about the group’s dominance while repeatedly reminding everyone that nobody could stop “The System.” Alexander bragged about ending Leon Slater’s near-record X-Division Title reign and dubbed himself the “Record Taker.” Alexander then addressed Fabian Aichner after last week’s shock ending to the show. Aichner then came out and challenged him for the X-Division Championship, saying he thrives in big fights. Before Alexander could answer, The System tried to attack Aichner, but Aichner fought them off and locked Alexander in a chokehold before The System took over.

Elayna Black vs. Indi Hartwell
Ariana Grace and Stacks joined commentary for the match. The two quickly made things awkward with their over-the-top PDA. Hartwell started strong with a series of strikes and a big boot, while Grace continuously complained from ringside. Black eventually took control after knocking Hartwell off the ring post and targeting the back of her head. A double stomp earned Black a near fall.
Hartwell battled back with a spinebuster and headed to the top rope, but Stacks jumped onto the apron to create a distraction. That allowed Grace to shove Hartwell off the turnbuckle, forcing the referee to call for the disqualification.
Winner: Elayna Black via disqualification.
After the match, Grace grabbed a microphone and vented about no longer being Knockouts Champion. Director of Authority Santino Marella confronted his daughter and threatened to “ground” her while also calling Stacks a “stupid face.” Stacks poked Marella in the chest, prompting Santino to tease the Cobra before Daria Rae interrupted. Rae said this was all very embarrassing and announced that any official fight would need approval from the board.

Broken Matt Hardy vs. Vincent
The rivalry between The Hardys and The Righteous continued as Matt Hardy faced Vincent. Jeff Hardy and Dutch were handcuffed to opposite ring posts to prevent interference. Before the match began, Vincent demanded the “Broken” version of Matt Hardy instead of Team Extreme… and that’s exactly what he got. Matt immediately brought it straight to Vincent, brawling around ringside and even biting him. Vincent regained momentum after Dutch tripped Matt behind the referee’s back.
The two exchanged heavy strikes before .,both connecting with a double clothesline. Matt later bounced Vincent’s head off multiple turnbuckles and scored a near fall with a sit-out powerbomb. Vincent injured his ankle after avoiding a charge and attempted to use his boot as a weapon, but Matt countered by biting Vincent’s foot. Vincent shoved Matt into the referee while trying to escape a Twist of Fate.
Vincent stole the handcuff key, but the arena lights suddenly went dark. When they came back on, Willow appeared behind him and attacked before disappearing. This allowed Matt Hardy to connect with Twist of Fate for the win.
Winner: Matt Hardy

Hall showed flashes of athleticism, but Ali’s experience allowed him to stay in control for much of the contest. Hall fired up with an armdrag and a dive over the top rope to the floor. John Skyler distracted Hall long enough for Ali to hit a cutter for a near fall. Ali attempted a Razor’s Edge from the top rope, but Hall countered into a Hurricanrana.
Hall turns a Moonsault into a Tornado DDT, but Ali kicked out at 2.9. Hall went for Sliced Bread, but Ali counters into a bridging pin to retain.

Mike Santana (c) vs. Steve Maclin – TNA World Championship
It’s time for the main event on tonight’s TNA iMPACT. This was a physical, hard-hitting battle. Santana made his usual entrance through the crowd while Maclin entered with his intense, no-nonsense demeanor. The two wasted no time throwing strikes as soon as the bell rang. Maclin dropped Santana early with a back elbow, but the champion answered right back with a dropkick before picking up momentum with a senton. Santana sent Maclin to the outside and followed up with a dive from the top turnbuckle onto the floor.
Maclin regained control by driving Santana’s head into the ring post. Maclin grabs a table. Santana fought back, smashing Maclin’s head off the table, but Maclin came right back with a chop block to Santana’s knee. Maclin continued targeting the leg by trapping it in the ropes and blasting Santana with a dropkick that sent him crashing to the outside. Santana battled back with a Figure Four Leglock, though Maclin managed to reach the ropes. Santana then delivered the Three Amigos suplex sequence, but Maclin escaped the third one, but Santana delivers a huge kick to the face.
Both men traded heavy strikes in the center of the ring. Maclin rocked Santana with a shot to the back of the head and trapped him in the Tree of Woe, but Santana escaped and connected with a Rolling Buck Fifty for a near fall. Santana nearly retained the title after landing a pop-up powerbomb followed immediately by a Blue Thunder Bomb, but Maclin somehow kicked out. Maclin answered right back with an Olympic Slam and a Driver Bomb of his own which was another close pin.
Maclin then turned his attention back to the table he had set up earlier and dragged Santana to the top rope. After both men struggle on the turnbuckle, Santana knocked Maclin off and sent him crashing through the table below. Back inside the ring, Santana connected with a splash, but Maclin somehow was able to kick out again. Santana attempted to set up Spin The Block, but Maclin collapsed. Maclin comes right back up and hits a Superkick. Maclin was too tired to get the pin. Maclin went for KIA, but Santana countered into Spin The Block and scored the pinfall to retain the TNA World Championship.
Winner: AND STILL TNA World Champion; Mike Santana
I hope it was all worth it, @SteveMaclin
