Pope and Mims try to find answers for tag team cohesion on NWA Powerrr

On this NWA Powerrr, Da Pope and Big Strong Mims answer why they are teaming together against El Nihan Dragón and Wrecking Ball Legursky in a match of strange bedfellows. They may have had their differences in the past, but Pope and Mims figure they can provide clarity for the fans in the squared circle.

We see the recap of “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason defeating Matt Cardona at the Samhain signature live event, who stole the title shot from Thom Latimer, and their rematch last week that had Big Daddy Thrill still holding the Ten Pounds of Gold, but snubbing the former champion.

We come to you from the PowerrrStation in Tampa, Fl. Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call, and your First Match of the Night is…

TV MA (Tiffany Nieves and Gretta, with Ms. Starr) vs. Natalia Markova and Gisele Shaw

Nieves tries to go after The Crush, and Markova heads her off at the pass, giving a Thesz press and pummeling her. She and Shaw take turns with La Princesa with a backbreaker/boot combo, and then Markova attempts the Beautiful Destruction kick, but misses the mark.

Gretta attacks with a clothesline from the outside, and now Nieves gets a tag to The Bavarian Broad, who is squeezing the life out of her before tossing her around like a chew toy in the middle of the ring. Markova is a Crush in Peril as TV MA have their way with the Women’s champ. She manages to get a desperation facebuster and crawls to her corner. A hot tag to Shaw and she is Quintessentially en Fuego, until she Eats De-Feet of Nieves. Markova steps in for the save but gets a choke slam for her troubles.

Gretta tries to go after her, leaving Nieves and Shaw in the ring. The Quintessential Diva delivers a knee strike to La Princesa to get the pin and the win.

Gretta carries Nieves to the back as Shaw and Markova have their hands raised in victory.

Aron Stevens is with Slade, and The Slimeballz will defend their US tag belts in action, and they pledge allegiance to defend Slimeball City. After Stevens tells the slimy hyperactive ones to calm down, and Slade is ready to make Damien Fenrir tap tonight.

Thom Latimer admits he was bested by Mason, but he’s upset he blew him off. It shows what kind of man he is, and he’s confident their paths will cross again

Now for a non-title match between…

Slade (with Aron Stevens) vs. Damian Fenrir

Fenrir recently defeated Alex Taylor and looks poised to take it up a notch, even though the NWA Junior Heavyweight title is not on the line.

Both men are evenly matched until Slade takes him on a ride with a few German suplexes, and an overhead belly to belly for good measure.

He dodges a tackle in the corner, and Fenrir nails a slingshot flipping lariat worthy of a Hangman. They fire the heavy artillery, and Fenrir gives him a taste of his own medicine with a German suplex of his own. He then climbs up top to the high-rent district and nails with a crossbody for a cover, and Slade kicks out at two. The NWA Junior Heavyweight champion is done screwing around, and a Slade Slam connects.

The straps are down as he gives Fenrir a modified heel hook/Figure Four, leglock, making him tap out.

No doubt Fenrir will do well to Fear the Gear next time.

Teal Piper reminds Kenzie Paige that the NWA is the house built by the Rowdiest, and she is here to tame this kingdom.

Meanwhile, at Ye Olde BitCrush, Joe Cazana and The Country Gentlemen talk with Mel the Cashier, and he worries about losing his ranch after all the shenanigans he pulled trying to usurp Billy Corgan as NWA President. It’s a Hail Mary, and Papa Joe needs his help, and Mel has…nothing.

Well, that’s a new one. Personally, a lawyer would be a better option than a cashier at a gaming store, but hey, what do I know?

The Immortals have a message for the Country Gentlemen, and their time is up. They need to step up to the plate, and Odinson and Kratos warn them that they are predators when it comes to defending the NWA World Tag Team Championships.

Speaking of which, let’s get to tag title action for the…

NWA United States Tag Team Championship: The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant) (c) vs. The Kids Are Alright (Jack Valor and Eddie Grayson)

Both Valor and Grayson come out of NWA Chicago and are very young at 18. But these Kids seems to have a look that made them come for a shot on Powerrr. As for the Slimeballz, fans throw the green streamers a la ROH, and they are definitely building a slimy following.

Chantz and Valor start, and the Slimeball offers a loogie-filled hand. Valor reciprocates, and I hope both men got their shots. Both men have speed and stamina, but Chantz gets on Valor’s back in a crucifix and gives a slimy pie face. Now, Rant and Grayson tag in. The Kid does his best, but he can’t match the strength of the Slimeball. They give a spinebuster/ flatliner combo to Valor, and he pins for one, two…and Chantz pulls him up at the last minute. Not very often do you see The Slimeballz get this cocky, and he almost pays for his mistake as The Kids connect with a double stomp/DVD combo until Rant makes the save.

One Snotrocket later, and that’s all she wrote.

Once again, things look pretty in Slimeball City.

Kenzie and Kylie can’t figure out how Herra beat her since she never tapped out. Regardless, the younger Paige is looking forward to avenging her loss next week, which will be a submission match. As for Piper, Kenzie is here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and she’s out of gum.

Trevor Murdoch remarks to Mike Knox on his win against Tyler Stevens last week, but that also led to Pretty Boy Smooth swinging a chair at him, just because they discussed something with EC3. Next week, he’s coming for the Pretty Boy.

Now for the women to throw down between…

Teal Piper vs. Kenzie Paige

They lock up, and Paige runs the ropes, but Piper learned a thing or two from her dad when taking down opponents.

The second-generation star is having fun until Paige nails a swinging neckbreaker to kill off her momentum. Snapmare and a kick to the spine, and the former Women’s champion taunts her Rowdiest opponent. There’s a schoolgirl rollup by Piper, but Paige hits a shotgun dropkick in retaliation. Piper comes back with a desperation sidewalk slam, and she fires with a roundhouse to a snapmare and adds the extra point with a PK followed by a senton.

She goes for a sleeper made famous by The Hot Rod, but Paige flips over her for a pin to break the submission. They jockey for position until a Kenzie Cutter finally ends this rowdy match.

Alex Taylor gives and gives, but the NWA keeps taking. He will burn this place to the ground unless he gets the NWA Junior Heavyweight title back, and he’ll have a chance next week in a four-way elimination match.

We see exchanges of words between The Lost and The Federation of Champions. Next week will be a Catchweight Exhibition Match between Aron Stevens and Alex Misery.

Making his way to the ring is Colby Corino, who’s looking better ever since his emergency surgery. Kyle Davis asks about his current prognosis, and just as he’s about to give an update, Carson Drake comes out with The Hardway. He has a message for Mason, and he needs to face him, but he can’t beat him.

Daisy Kill is at Ye Olde BitCrush, and is debating whether to thank or bash Mel’s head for setting him up. Mel tries to assure him he didn’t set him up. Mike Mondo steps in and tells him to scram. He doesn’t like freaks, except for Mel. That brings up The Lost, which is a freakishly weird segment to end on.

Now, for the Main event, and it is a super heavyweight tag team of…

El Nihan Dragón and “Wrecking Ball” Legursky Vs. Da Pope and “Big Strong” Mims

Mims is looking leery about being with Pope, but they’re gonna work it out. Either way, this could be a teaser for Crockett Cup action coming up, and the Congregation is liking what they’re laying down.

Mims and Legursky lock up, and he gets knocked down hard by the Wrecking Ball.

He gets the tag to Pope, and he lights up his chest, but he has as much luck against Legursky as Mims did earlier. The veteran gives a dropkick to the knee, but still can’t stop this Wrecking Ball. Mims tries to save, and Legursky catches them in a double goozle. Pope escapes and goes to the opposite side of the ring to land a missile dropkick.

Now they get in sync with tag tandem action to finally make Legursky a super heavyweight in Peril. Mims and Pope go for a double whip until he makes them run into each other and nails a double clothesline. Hot tag to Dragón and the monster Puerto Rican is breathing fire down on Pope and Mims. Pope tries to make the save, and Legursky runs him off as Dragón delivers a powerbomb, and they pick up the win for the one, two, and three.
