NWA Powerrr: 250 episodes and running towards The Crockett Cup

It’s Tuesday night on NWA Powerrr with their 250th episode since debuting back in 2019. My goodness, where does the time go? The National Wrestling Alliance has come a long way from starting off on their YouTube channel to being featured on The Roku Channel. But with Crockett Cup coming around the corner, there are all kinds of teams looking to get a spot in the signature tournament, plus more news from NWA owner William Patrick Corgan that will make the 40th year of this signature event a big surprise.

Also in the main event, Hammerstone makes his return in singles action against one-half of Blunt Force Trauma in Carnage.

We come to you from the PowerrrStation in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli, Tim Storm, and Danny Dealz have the call, and your First Match of the Night is…

The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos) vs. Jack N’ Eddie

This is billed as a “Crockett Cup Ceremonial Exhibition Match,” but you can call this a showcase of squashery. Kratos and Odinson toss the boys around from NWA Chicago like they were sacks of flour. Eddie has some fight in him, kicking out of their pin attempts. However, a delayed suplex by the Most Feared ends this “exhibition” decisively.

Kyle Davis gets in the ring to ask The Immortals their thoughts on being the number one seeded team in the Crockett Cup. Kratos first tells the crowd to give it up for both Jack N’ Eddie. Plus, I’ll let the Most Feared talk:

“Now listen to me very, very closely when I say this. In 2025, The Immortals became part of a list that is etched in history in the NWA, and that is becoming the Crockett Cup champions.

[In] 2026, there has never, ever, ever been anyone to repeat and win it twice; two times in a row.

The Immortals are prey to none, friends to few, and predators to all.”

Strong words and tons of promise heading into the Cup

Your Boy Hammer is back, and he says he’s being thrown to the deep end with Carnage, and he wouldn’t have it any other way as he climbs to the top for a shot at The Ten Pounds of Gold.

Now we have four teams in the ring for the…

NWA Crockett Cup 16th See Qualifier Match: Corey Hollis and Brady Pierce vs. Sins and Grins (Bam Bam Malone and Izzy James) vs. The Lost (Alex Misery and Gaagz The Gymp) vs. Pretty City Express (CLAS & Devin Reno)

We see some new tag teams in Sins and Grins and Pretty City Express from the NWA Texas and NWA New Mexico territories, respectively. Also, Pierce is back with Hollis, a 17-year journeyman from Alabama who’s worked in promotions like Ring of Honor, WWE, and NXT. No doubt things are different than the last time we at Slam! spoke to him, but he is looking Spectacular still.

Galli explains that whoever wins will advance to Forney, TX, for another four-way match, and the ultimate winner will become the sixteenth seed in the Crockett Cup.

The first part showcases the talent of the aforementioned territories.

It isn’t long before this match devolves to a Pier Sixteen brawl, and the action goes in and out of the ring. Misery flies through the air with a corkscrew to the teams on the outside.

As for Hollis, he is the legal man inside the ring, and Sins and Grins punch their ticket with the Snakebite and the Kickstart, giving the Texans home court advantage in their state.

Your Winners of the 16th Seed Qualifier: Izzy James and Bam Bam Malone

Kylie and Kenzie Paige start with a promo on Sirena Veil, and they stepped on something on the carpet. Apparently, somebody forgot to pick up after their dog, and Kylie is ready to hurt someone. Well right there is “Hollyhood” Haley J petting her dog, and she and Kylie get into a war of words, but you know they will slug it out next week..

We get a rundown of the entrants in the 2026 Crockett Cup (with the 16th seed to be determined in Forney), and there are a few surprises:

  • The 15th seed is Zyon and Bonez (the latter making his NWA debut)
  • The 14th seed is Red, White and JAC’d (consisting of Wrecking Ball Legursky and JAC)
  • The 13th seed is The Holy Grail Experience with Pretty Boy Sooth teaming with Hayden Backlund, who is the nephew of WWF legend Bob Backlund
  • The 12th seed is The Hardway of “Veteran” Jack Vaughn and Dalton McKenzie, the current NWA Chicago tag team champions
  • The 11th seed is Trevor Murdoch and Tyler Franks. This one is a surprise, but it makes sense since Murdoch’s tag team partner, Mike Knox, is still out with an injury. Also, Murdoch knows about winning the Crockett Cup and Tag Team Gold
  • The 10th seed is The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant), currently the NWA US Tag Team champions
  • The 9th seed is Thom Latimer and El Dragon Nihan. Latimer has been a Wild Card before, winning the Cup at NWA 70 with Royce Isaacs, and held tag team gold in the NWA
  • The 8th seed is The Drakes, consisting of Carson Drake and his ultra-silent cousin, “Lockjaw”
  • The 6th seed is The Country Gentlemen, both former US Tag Team champions in KC and AJ Cazana
  • The 5th seed is The Southern Six, and Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor want to repeat their 2024 success in the Crockett Cup
  • The 4th seed is The Wrestling Machines, consisting of the NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion, Slade, and NWA National Champion, Mike Mondo. Between them and The Drakes, Aron Stevens has two teams that could be favorites in the Crockett Cup (three if you count The Slimeballz…but you know that won’t be the case)
  • The 3rd seed is The Colons. Primo and Epico were finalists in the 2025 Corckett Cup, and they came so close. This is their opportunity to avenge their loss.
  • The 2nd seed is The Good Brothers, “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. No strangers to tag gold, but making their debut in The Crockett Cup.
  • And the number one seed is The Immortals, looking to make history as repeat winners

Speaking of winners, Izzy James and Bam Bam Malone celebrate their recent win and their readiness to get to the Cup. The NWA Texas stars are looking to make history.

NWA World Women’s Television Championship: Tiffany Nieves (with Ms. Starr and Gretta)(c)vs Liviyah Vale

Vale is a nineteen-year-old competitor trained by Matt Taven and Vincent, and she has a chance to make her mark here in the NWA.

Right at the start, Nieves puts the badmouth on the challenger, and Vale gets a backslide to catch her off guard. She also lands a running crossbody for a two count, but it isn’t long until La Princesa returns to the driver’s seat and picks apart Vale. Nieves runs out, and she gives chase until she runs into Gretta. Vale backs us up a second, and is caught unaware as the champ gives her a basement drop kick to the back.

The upstart stages a comeback, but eats a clothesline by Nieves for a cover, and she kicks out at two. La Princesa nails a spinning sidewalk slam but can’t put her away. Gretta climbs up the apron , walks into the squared circle, walks past the ref, and delivers a chokeslam to Vale. She has no choice but to declare…

Your Winner via Disqualification: Liviyah Vale

Nieves still retains the Television title, but Vale is indeed a sore winner at the hands of TV MA.

The Country Gentlemen are coming to Forney, TX for the Crockett Cup and they’re gonna win it…By the Book.

Daisy Kill reflects on last week’s Reign of Terror. He put away Hunter, Lev, and Gaagz the Gymp. But he ain’t happy with Eric Smalls, and he’ll take care of him soon so that he has a good time (Good Time!)

Jake Cross vs. KC Cazana (with Joe Cazana)

Cross has wrestled for Bryan Idol’s FTW wrestling promotion, but he has his work cut out for him in “White Lightning” KC.

Cazana tries to manhandle him, but Cross has some fire in him. Cazana knocks him to the mat and punches his head. Cross gets some moments of offense, but Cazana nails him with a backdrop suplex and a strut to have White Lightning strike with a leg drop.

One lariat later that would make Stan Hansen smile, and Cazana ends it.

Davis gets in the ring to ask Joe his thoughts on where The Country Gentlemen sit in the upcoming tournament. Joe is not happy with his sons being the sixth seed in the Crockett Cup. He blames Billy Corgan and his bias, but he will take the Cup back to Tennessee, and they’ll do it…well, you know.

Meanwhile, at Dr. Vik’s Abode, he talks himself up and says he’s good enough, smart, and gosh darn it, people like him (or something like that). Then TV MA comes through the door, along with Pastor C-Lo and Pretty Boy Smooth.

Yeah, this ain’t awkward at all.

In the ring with Davis are Bryan Idol and William Patrick Corgan. His birthday is today, and despite all his rage, he’s willing to throw his money into professional wrestling (which is how the song goes, right?).

He turns the mic to Idol, and he did some thinking in the back about what he can do for him. He decided to cash in the NWA Television title for a shot at the Ten Pounds of Gold.

That brings out β€œThrillbilly” Silas Mason to the squared circle, and he has some thoughts on the matter. Corgan steps in, and he assumes Mason has something to say. Boy, does he.

“You know, Billy, you don’t want to make assumptions, because you look like an ass when you do so. But it just so happens it’s the best-looking ass in the building.

Because you’re right. I do have something very important to say. Now, Brian always knew you couldn’t read, but I guess you pieces of Florida trash can’t count either. How many times have I beaten you? How many times have I embarrassed you? That scar you carry on your body is from me, boy, because I own you. I marked you like the dog that you are, and tonight, or whenever you want, step in there with me, I’ve got news for you, boy.

I know that you think you can’t be gotten rid of because you got your nose buried so far up his backside that explains the spray tan. But you’re like herpes in the NWA, and I am going to vaccinate the NWA from you, and we’ll never have to see you ever again. And I don’t want to wait, Billy. I want it right here tonight. I want it now!”

They’re both ready to throw down, but Corgan tells him to hold off, so that is a fight waiting to happen

The Good Brothers are nine-time Tag Team champs, and they want to etch their names on the Crockett Cup. They’ll get their chance next week in an opening round match with Zion and Bonez, and it’ll be just Too Sweet.

Now for your Main Event between…

Carnage vs. Hammerstone

There are big chants for Hammerstone from the Tampa crowd, but Carnage attacks right away, and he proceeds to give shoulder tackles in the corner and drive his head into the turnbuckle. You Boy Hammer tosses Carnage around with German suplexes and sends him out of the ring.

He flies out on Carnage and sends him back in to hammer his point across. He starts to climb in, but Hammerstone eats a big boot to topple outside and then…

Ads (which we head back to Dr. Vik’s Abode, and this may just be the most awkward group therapy session in history. Plus, Aron Steven’s is proud of the teams he has in the Crockett Cup…not so much The Slimeballz)

We come back, and Carnage is clubbing his back and throwing him headfirst into the steel steps. He picks apart Your Boy Hammer in the ring, and rushes into the corner and meets a big boot. Hammerstone stages a comeback and gets a flying clothesline. Then we get a pump kick, and Your Boy Hammer gets a count of two, and he calls for his finisher. Carnage reverses and gives a huge power slam, but he kicks out. Carnage attempts a spear, but it gets averted, and Hammerstone delivers The Nightmare Pendulum for the one, two, and three.

That’s another win in the bag as Hammerstone inches closer to a title shot as the show draws to a close.
