Hey hey!
Templario vs. Alan Angels vs.Taiji Ishimori vs. Kushida (c) – MLW Middleweight Championship Fatal 4-Way match
Once the bell rang, Kushida went after Templario, while Ishimori and Angels brawled it out elsewhere. Alan tossed Taiji outside and proceeded to place his efforts against Kushida. Templario fell off somewhere… Kushida managed to shove Alan off balance with a shoulder tackle.
Templario and Ishimori finally made their way back inside the ring as they engage in a fight. Taiji attempted a Hurricane Rana, got caught, then kicked in the legs and face later on. Kushida had Templario scouted when he grabbed his ankle and prevented his opponent from gunning after Ishimori. Taiji got hit as well with a baseball slide kick. Kushida clearly had the upper hand.
Angels came by to save his own chances by getting in-between Ishimori and Kushida. When that was successful, he tried to pin Taiji with a German suplex bridge. Templario flew down with a drop kick that left Alan standing like an exclamation point. Ha! He also leaped after Ishimori and Kushida on the outside. Amazingly, Angels made a quick comeback.
Kushida placed Templario into the Kimura submission hold, fortunately, the Luchador overpowered him eventually. All men were down with those quadruple lariats in the centre of the ring. Kushida had used the ropes to add more weight as he covered Angels.
Templario saw that and forcibly pushed his feet off. While arguing with the Luchador, Kushida moved out of the way, which allowed Alan to kick Templario in the face. Kushida trapped Alan’s arm behind his back, the Hammer Lock, so he could initiate a more aggressive pin that resulted in him retaining his title. By the end of the match, Kushida committed an even bigger atrocity by removing Templario’s mask and absconding with it. Ikuro Kwon would be proud. And so was this mysterious serpent.
Winner: Kushida
Episode 2 of Shotzi’s Graveyard Shift welcomed Scarlett Bordeaux as her guest. Scarlett wanted to make her intentions of wanting a title shot clear. Shotzi contradicted that one has to be ready to bleed for this Championship, which she wasn’t sure Scarlett was prepared for. Lady Frost arrived unannounced but interested in gold. In the end, Blackheart decided to fight both women.
Although disappointed by his loss to Austin Aries, of all people, Mistico cheered Diego Hill by inviting him to MLW versus Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre at FantasticaMania in Mexico. In other news, Trevor Lee was attacked in his dressing room by an unknown assailant. More of that story to be developed as we gather information.
I’ve only heard of one person, or group, in the music industry that’s called So’fly, and that’s this boy/girl Japanese duo consisting of the vocalist Toko and rapper Nerdhead. They’re from the early 2000s. Still bangers! It was kind of weird to see a wrestler named Sofly Manny Lo. That needs to workshopped… again. Manny wasn’t easily defeated, but he did receive most of the abuse. That final lariat was an unwavering conclusion.
In two weeks, FantasticaMania is coming. Satoshi Kojima issued a challenge for Killer Kross, and the champ accepted. Next Saturday, Teddy Long will return.
CONTRA MERCS vs. The Skyscrapers – Tag Team match
Well… I’m not sure what’s going on with Bishop Dyer, seeing him last night and now here, this contract nonsense continues to be a mess that needs cleaning. Clean it! And speaking of sweat, Donovan threw the first punch at Gallows. Nonetheless, Doc returned fired like absolute hell that resulted in Dyer coming in versus Anderson.
Dyer momentarily got in a verbal spat with Shotzi that allowed Anderson to gain the lead with an uppercut. Karl almost fell victim to a mugging if he hadn’t broken his restrains and get tagged by Mads Krugger. Josh Bishop laid out his best chops, but Krugger was far too strong. It was obvious that Mads had him, that’s why the rest of the Skyscrapers came rushing in as well as Anderson and Gallows.
I loved the unstable madness. Dyer and Dijak were subdued as CONTRA MERCS had Josh temporarily cornered. It wasn’t until later that Karl stumbled over the ropes and onto the floor because Dijak was being petty. The Skyscrapers made sure to isolate Karl from his team, Donovan even took a cheap shot to Gallows. Luckily, Anderson gave one last effort with a spinebuster.
Things seemed to be getting somewhat better, but the sudden, and quite frankly bewildering, appearance of Damo fractured that momentum. He went straight for Krugger. He crushed his ass in front of the commentary desk. That left Anderson and Gallows alone. The Good Brothers were looking for the Magic Killer, Dyer speared Karl, and Dijak sneakily pinned Gallows.
Winners: The Skyscrapers
