Plans for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia remain on track despite growing concerns over instability in the Middle East.
It has been known for some time that WWE intends to hold WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh in 2027, marking the first time the company’s biggest event takes place outside North America. However, recent tensions linked to the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Iran had cast doubt over whether those plans could change.
Speaking this week at the SBJ CAA World Congress of Sports in Los Angeles, as reported by The Sporting Tribune, Nick Khan made it clear that WWE is still moving forward with the event in the Kingdom.
Nick Khan States That WWE Is “Doing WrestleMania 43 Next Year In Saudi Arabia”
Khan stated that WWE is “doing WrestleMania next year in Saudi Arabia,” reinforcing that the company has no current plans to relocate the show despite the geopolitical climate. The WWE president also described the company’s relationship with Saudi Arabia as “big” and “fruitful,” downplaying criticism of its events in the region as coming from a “vocal minority.”
His comments suggest WWE remains committed to its long-term international expansion strategy and its existing partnership with Saudi Arabia, even as uncertainty continues in the region. While concerns have been raised externally about safety and logistics, WWE’s stance, as of now, is that WrestleMania 43 will proceed in Saudi Arabia as planned.
