A WWE Hall of Famer believes Vince McMahon still has plenty to offer the business world and hopes the former WWE Chairman is not finished with his career.
Speaking on the latest episode of Something To Wrestle, JBL discussed Vince McMahon’s future and praised the business success he achieved during his decades running WWE.
McMahon stepped away from TKO Group Holdings in early 2024 following the filing of a lawsuit by Janel Grant, which included allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. McMahon has denied the allegations, and recent reports indicate that efforts are underway to resolve the ongoing litigation.
While discussing McMahon’s future, JBL focused solely on his business accomplishments.
“I think the business world is better with Vince McMahon in it. I think the entertainment world is better with Vince McMahon in it,” JBL said. “You can pick and choose whether you like him personally or not. I’m just talking professionally. Is he good for business?”
JBL pointed to McMahon’s transformation of WWE from a regional wrestling promotion into a global entertainment company as evidence of his business abilities.
“He took a $1 million investment and sold it for $9.3 billion. It’s one of the greatest stories in American history,” JBL said.
The WWE Hall of Famer also praised McMahon’s vision, noting that he built a worldwide empire from an industry once largely confined to local venues and small arenas.
JBL Would Like To See Vince McMahon Launch A New Business
Describing Vince McMahon as “the ultimate puppet master,” JBL said he would welcome seeing the former WWE boss launch another business venture.
“Would he be good at 81 to come back and do something? Hell yes, he would,” JBL said. “I don’t know what. I have no idea. I don’t have any insight whatsoever. I just hope he does.”
JBL added that he does not expect McMahon to slow down anytime soon, joking that the former WWE Chairman once told him he planned to “live forever.”
Although McMahon’s future remains unclear, JBL believes his track record suggests he would still be capable of making a significant impact should he decide to return to the business world.
