Will Ospreay thinks British fans are the one thing that could scare Darby Allin.
On August 30th, AEW will return to the iconic Wembley Stadium in London for All In 2026. With Darby Allin reigning as the AEW World Champion, there is a target on his back for the biggest show in the company’s calendar, and one man with his sights on the star is Will Ospreay.
In a new interview with The Sportster, the Aerial Assassin said that, if he were to main event the show with Allin, the British fans would be able to scare him with their chants, which are well-known to be uniquely insulting in wrestling fandoms.
“I know Darby doesn’t fear anything in this world, but I think nothing would scare him more than seeing however many British people chanting horrible things at him whilst I’m kicking the ever-loving shit out of him.”
On a more serious note, Ospreay said being able to win the World Title in Wembley Stadium would be a huge moment for him, and something he could look back on with pride.
“That moment would be… I couldn’t put it into words because years ago when they first done that Wembley show, it didn’t seem like it was real and it didn’t seem like it was possible to especially fill it at the time, and I wasn’t even a part of the company back then.
“So the fact that I could never imagine what Wembley Stadium would look like, and now I’ve been in there, and I felt winning a championship in that venue, to win the most coveted prize in all pro wrestling, I think honestly it would just be one of those moments where I finally did something cool in my life that I can actually look back on and be proud about.”
Will Ospreay Now Owns United Empire Trademark
Recently, Will Ospreay recruited his former NJPW faction, United Empire, to help him in his rivalry with the Death Riders. Ospreay founded the faction alongside Great-O-Khan back in 2020 when he turned on Kazuchika Okada, ending years of frustration at not being able to beat The Rainmaker in the process.
Ospreay has now filed for the trademark for the group, hinting that it could become more of a fixture in AEW as well as New Japan, where it is currently led by IWGP Heavyweight Champion Callum Newman.
