Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Nick Khan were the key decision-makers behind WWE’s recent roster cuts following WrestleMania 42, according to reports.
The releases, which saw around 25 wrestlers let go on April 24, were said to be driven internally by WWE leadership and talent relations, rather than by TKO, despite speculation to the contrary.
Sources reported to Fightful Select that the cuts were largely made to create space for incoming talent, with a potential return to a two-hour format for WWE SmackDown also cited as a contributing factor.
Who Did Triple H & Nick Khan Release From WWE On April 24?
Among the main roster names released per Triple H and Nick Khan’s directive were Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega and Santos Escobar, along with the entire Wyatt Sicks faction. NXT departures included several developing talents such as Andre Chase and Carlee Bright. Additional signings at the Performance Center are expected in the near future as WWE continues to reshape its roster following WrestleMania 42.
