Orange Cassidy says Mick Foley was “incredible” at AEW Double or Nothing.
Mick Foley made his AEW debut on the Double or Nothing Buy In, co-hosting the show with Renee Paquette. Following the event, Foley said that he was happy to have contributed to an “amazing night of wrestling.”
When he was finished with his onscreen duties, Foley remained for the duration of the show, and according to Orange Cassidy, the Hardcore Legend was a welcome addition backstage. Speaking to TMZ Sports, Cassidy said Foley watched as much of the show as he could and provided valuable feedback to many of the wrestlers who had been in the ring that night.
“He was incredible. He watched as much of the show as he possibly could, and then he would give some incredible feedback to some of the people that were wrestling and stuff. He is incredibly talented, and he has so much knowledge that he’s just one of those other guys that I can’t wait to like pick his brain and stuff.”
Orange Cassidy Doesn’t Disagree With ‘Comedy Wrestler’ Label
During the same interview, Orange Cassidy addressed being called a ‘comedy wrestler.’ The two-time International Champion said it wasn’t a sentiment he would disagree with, but said it was just one of many styles he uses in the ring, as he incorporates as much as possible into his moveset. He added that he often tries new things in matches, and while that carries risks, he can always ditch what doesn’t work.
