Nikki Bella is hoping to return to WWE by the end of June following the ankle injury she suffered earlier this year, although she admitted doctors still have not cleared her for an official timetable.
Speaking with USA Today, Nikki Bella explained that her medical team plans to reevaluate the injury next month before determining when she can wrestle again.
“Not until I see what your ankle looks like in June,” Bella said, doctors told her when she asked about a potential return date.
Despite the uncertainty, the former WWE star said she remains optimistic about possibly returning before the end of June while also stressing the importance of avoiding a rushed comeback.
“End of June would be incredible,” Bella admitted. “But I also don’t want to go back too early.”
Bella added that she wants to ensure her lower-body strength is fully rebuilt before stepping back into the ring, specifically mentioning her calves, quads, and glutes as areas that still need to recover properly.
When Did Nikki Bella Get Injured?
Nikki Bella’s injury occurred during a March 27 episode of WWE SmackDown, where she and Brie Bella defeated Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. The injury ultimately forced Nikki to miss WrestleMania 42 Night One, where Brie Bella and Paige captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Nikki underwent surgery shortly before WrestleMania, and a late-June return could place her back on WWE television around the time of Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
