Nikki Bella has outlined her vision for one final run in WWE, revealing she wants to return as a heel rather than a fan favourite.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella detailed both her recovery plan following the ankle injury that ruled her out of WrestleMania 42 and how she intends to approach the closing chapter of her in-ring career.
“I want this comeback to be epic because it’s going to be my last one in the ring,” Nikki said, explaining she is focused on rehabilitation over the next several weeks before targeting a return.
Nikki suffered a fractured, torn and sprained ankle ahead of WrestleMania, leading to her being replaced in the Women’s Tag Team Title match. She is now aiming to use her time away to reset both physically and mentally, with a clear end goal in mind. Alongside her recovery, Nikki made it clear she has no interest in returning as a babyface.
“I just want to do my last run as a heel. I don’t want to be a babyface,” she said. “I want character work… I want to be heel.”
Nikki Bella Suggested A Heel Tag Team Run With Brie Bella
Nikki Bella also suggested a potential reunion dynamic with Brie Bella as part of that run, referencing their previous work together as “Team Bella.” Brie, meanwhile, reflected on how injuries and personal circumstances have repeatedly led to the pair having separate runs rather than aligning together.
Despite the setback, Nikki is targeting a return once medically cleared, with her final WWE run expected to come before her current contract expires.
