Despite a very poor showing at UFC 329, Conor McGregor is vowing to return to the ring, again.
McGregor lost to Max Holloway in 1 minute and nine seconds after he threw a roundhouse kick to start the bout and injured his leg.
After limping out of the arena and not granting any interviews, McGregor posted on X:
“My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.”

He then wrote later on:
“I was so sharp and so ready for this fight I cannot believe what has happened. The talk of me being off while walking in to the fight is nonsense. I was calm, ready, and confident. I am in shock what has taken place. The devil is literally staring at me right in front of my face here. I am not engaging. I will be at church tomorrow. I will overcome this. I will not be deterred. I will return.”

Interviewed after the bout, Holloway said he didn’t want to win that way. When he asked the crowd to give it up for Conor and they booed Conor.
“You are so lucky. There will be a McGregor and Max three now,” he said.
It was a pretty disappointing night overall for UFC fans. The other co-main event, Paddy Pimblett versus Benoît Saint Denis, ended in 56 seconds when Paddy made Benoit submit.
