Usman Nurmagomedov has addressed he controversial actions during his brother’s fight over the weekend.
The finish of Song Yadong versus Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC Shanghai saw Yadong lay Nurmagomedov out with a knockout punch.
Yadong collided, made contact with Usman who jumped the cage to get to his brother. It is still not know whether Usman took a swing at Yadong or whether they just ran into each other during the post-match chaos.
Usman claims he never attempted to hit Yadong.
“People are making such a huge tragedy out of this, they should just calm down. There are things far worse. You don’t have to think for long, just look at what is happening in the world and regarding the claims that I supposedly wanted to hit his opponent, if I had wanted to, I would have hit him,” he posted on Instagram in Russian.
He then slammed those who criticized his actions.
“You angry, petty, and jealous people. Your problem is that you have never had and never will never have an understanding of family love. If you don’t know what a brother means to his brother then I’m not the one you should feel sorry for, you should feel sorry for yourselves,” he wrote.
Video on the Umar’s trainers, family, his corner people, show that Khabib tried stopping Usman from jumping the cage.
