Chris Jericho came up short in his return match, falling to Ricochet at AEW Dynasty.
Competing in his first AEW match in nearly a year, Chris Jericho faced Ricochet in one of the night’s early bouts but was unable to secure the win after a back-and-forth contest that lasted close to 15 minutes.
Ricochet received assistance throughout the match from The Gates of Agony, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona, who repeatedly interfered to shift momentum in his favour.
Despite the distractions, Jericho mounted a strong comeback and delivered one of the match’s standout moments by countering a Shooting Star Press into a Codebreaker. However, the interference proved decisive in the closing stages.
Ricochet hit his Spirit Gun before following up with Jericho’s own Lionsault to secure the pinfall victory.
When Was Chris Jericho’s Last AEW Match?
Chris Jericho’s previous AEW match had also taken place at Dynasty in 2025, where he lost to Bandido. His return began on the April 1, 2026, episode of AEW Dynamite, where he reintroduced his “List of Jericho” gimmick before setting up the match with Ricochet.
The result leaves Jericho searching for momentum as his latest AEW run gets underway.
