AEW has released the first trailer and release date for a new animated series being made in partnership with Adult Swim.
In January, former WWE writer Nic Collins announced on LinkedIn that he was working on a new animated project with Adult Swim and All Elite Wrestling. Collins confirmed that he would be writing and producing the show, but gave no further details at the time.
Now, AEW has released the first trailer for the series on social media, announcing that it is named ‘Tales From The Top Rope’. The trailer opens with a wrestling-themed homage to the Twilight Zone and features The Young Bucks, Toni Storm, and Darby Allin. In a possible hint to the content of the show, is subtitled ‘Origins’.
The show will launch on the AEW on TV YouTube Channel on Thursday, April 16th at 12 noon.

AEW Teases NFL Partnership Announcement
Tales From The Top Rope was not the only collaboration announced on April 14th, as All Elite Wrestling has teased a partnership with the NFL. While details will be revealed on April 15th, it is expected that the two organisations have a greed a licensed merchandise collaboration.
It is believed that the product will centre around NFL-themed lucha masks, something Tony Khan first revealed back in February during Super Bowl Radio Row. At the time, Khan said the partnership is one he’s “always dreamed of” and confrimed the masks would be availbel for all 32 teams starting on the first night of the NFL draft.
