AEW is set to make an official announcement this week regarding a partnership with the NFL.
AEW revealed via social media that a formal announcement will take place on April 15, with the two organisations expected to unveil a licensed merchandise collaboration.
The product is believed to centre around NFL-themed lucha masks, which Tony Khan first showcased during Super Bowl Radio Row in February. The masks are expected to feature all 32 NFL teams and are scheduled to go on sale April 23, aligning with the opening night of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Khan previously described the partnership as a long-term goal.
“It’s really exciting to be able to talk about a partnership that I’ve always dreamed of. I’ve always wanted the NFL and AEW to work together,” Khan said. “Starting the first night of the NFL Draft… these will be available for all 32 NFL teams.”
The collaboration also reflects Khan’s personal ties to the league. His father, Shahid Khan, owns the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Tony Khan himself serves as the team’s Chief Football Strategy Officer alongside his role leading AEW.
