Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE on the latest episode of WWE Raw and appears set for another showdown with Oba Femi at Clash in Italy.
Oba Femi headed to the ring during Raw for his scheduled open challenge when he was suddenly attacked from behind. When the lights came back on, Brock Lesnar was standing over him. “The Beast” proceeded to destroy Femi with four consecutive F5s before smirking at him and leaving the ring. Femi eventually recovered enough to stare Lesnar down from inside the ring as Lesnar walked up the entrance ramp.
Following the commercial break, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confronted Paul Heyman backstage over Lesnar’s appearance, noting that retirement paperwork had previously been filed on Lesnar’s behalf.
Heyman responded by handing Pearce a contract for a match between Lesnar and Femi at Clash in Italy. According to Heyman, Lesnar had already signed the deal and was waiting for Femi to do the same.
Heyman described the potential rematch as “the biggest rematch in history.”
Brock Lesnar’s Apparent Retirement At WrestleMania 42
The confrontation stems from WrestleMania 42 Night Two, where Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar quickly after planting him with a powerbomb. After the loss, Lesnar appeared to signal the end of his in-ring career by leaving his gloves and boots in the ring. WWE later moved Lesnar to the alumni section of its official website, fuelling further retirement speculation.
Despite that, recent reports from PWInsider indicated Lesnar had continued to be listed internally as an active WWE performer.
