French WWE NXT wrestler Elio LeFleur has returned to in-ring action after seven months on the sidelines following shoulder surgery. The 28-year-old competed in a dark match ahead of the October 27 episode of NXT at the WWE Performance Center, marking his first match since a March 20 house show. LeFleur suffered a shoulder injury in March and underwent surgery the following month, forcing him to relinquish the now-defunct WWE Men’s Speed Championship. After his return, the former champion confirmed on social media that he was medically cleared to compete. His appearance marks a significant step towards resuming his WWE career after an extended absence.
Kayla Braxton told Fightful that she still gets noticed for her time in WWE:
“A lot of people from the company still reach out and it always means a lot because it’ll come out of nowhere just like to check and see how I’m doing or send a happy birthday message or I’m thinking of you message. It’s such a family, that place. We all will part ways and go on our different journeys. I talked to Big E recently, I know he’s still there to talk to him, I talk to the other boys of the New Day. Kevin Owens will reach out every once in a while. Bayley. Yeah, it’s nice,” she said.
WWE has reportedly signed Japanese sumo champion and former Colorado State football player Hidetora Hanada to an NXT contract, according to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. The 24-year-old previously visited WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, and participated in a tryout in 2025, having signed a WWE NIL deal in February of that year. Hanada won the Junior World Sumo Championships in 2018 and 2019 and competed at the 2022 World Games in Alabama before transitioning to American football.
He later joined Colorado State University as a defensive lineman, becoming the Rams’ only Japanese player, and graduated in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary liberal arts. Standing 6 ft 1 in and weighing 280lbs, Hanada previously attempted to enter the NFL but was not selected. His reported signing marks the next stage of his transition into professional wrestling.
