The lineup for tonight’s special episode of AEW Fright Night Dynamite has been confirmed.
AEW presents a special Halloween-themed edition of Dynamite tonight, Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with Fright Night Dynamite featuring two championship matches and the third encounter in the Best of Five Series between FTR and The Motor City Machine Guns.
The show will air live from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, on TBS in the United States and MyAEW.com internationally. Three matches have been announced, with the TNT Championship and TBS Championship both on the line.
One featured match will see FTR’s Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood face The Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in the third match of their Best of Five Series. The two experienced tag teams have battled for supremacy, and tonight’s encounter marks the series’ midpoint.
With a maximum of five matches scheduled, the third contest could prove crucial in determining which team ultimately emerges victorious. FTR will look to use their physical approach and tag team experience to overcome Shelley and Sabin, while The Motor City Machine Guns will aim to counter with their speed and teamwork. Regardless of the result, the match represents another significant chapter in the rivalry between two of professional wrestling’s most accomplished tag teams.
The TBS Championship will also be defended tonight when reigning champion Persephone puts her title on the line against Queen Aminata. Persephone enters the match looking to continue her championship reign, while Aminata has an opportunity to capture the title and establish herself at the top of AEW’s women’s division.
The championship encounter adds further significance to the Halloween-themed broadcast, with both competitors seeking a decisive victory. Aminata will be aiming to dethrone Persephone, but the champion will be determined to leave St. Louis with her title intact.
Another championship will be on the line as Darby Allin defends the TNT Championship against Josh Alexander. Allin’s high-risk wrestling style will be tested against Alexander, whose technical ability and physical approach present a contrasting challenge.
The match gives Alexander a chance to capture one of AEW’s major singles championships, while Allin looks to maintain his position as TNT Champion. With both competitors bringing different strengths to the contest, their championship encounter promises to be one of the evening’s featured attractions.
