This weekend is my favourite time of year and one of my favourite shows ever…Halloween Havoc! That huge inflated pumpkin bouncing around and the cheesy graveyard always signals a good time as does…Spin the wheel! Make the deal!
But before the tricks and treats this weekend we have…
Noam Dar and Romero Moreno versus The Vanity Project (NXT Tag Team Champions) – Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Semi-Finals
Vanity focuses on an injured Dar who is wearing some odd looking bandage on his head that eventually gets knocked off halfway through the match. Smokes smokes Dar by whipping him into the steel ring steps. Moreno spins his way out of Brad Baylor’s head lock so that Smokes jumps off the top rope hitting Baylor instead. Lockwood leaps up on the apron complaining. Dar clocks Smokes with an elbow to the face. Smokes is pinned by Dar and Moreno’s version of High and Low.
Winners: Noam Dar and Romero Moreno
We see a video of NXT Champion Grayson Waller in front of Tony D’Angelo’s house.
D’Angelo throws a fit in GM Stone’s office. He cannot believe that someone has gone to his house and his family is in danger. Tony is heading home to take care of business. Stone sends a cameraman with him.
Cruz Montana video segment. He explains that while security had him pinned down last week he wasn’t the Cruz Montana you see today. He was the “other guy”, the man he has tried to keep buried away. When he gets his hands on Dion he is going to feel his wrath.
Lizzy Rain versus Chantel Monroe
Monroe is already in the ring. Rain unleashes her chops in a corner and gives Monroe a German Suplex off the ropes before hitting a spinebuster. Monroe rolls through Rain’s roll-up, grabs the ropes and pins her.
Winner: Chantel Monroe
Izzi Dame in a segment showing Zaria when she was younger. Dame claims Zaria doesn’t want anyone to see the truth about her past but she will bring that out of her and destroy her at Halloween Havoc.
Saquon Shugars versus Sean Legacy
Saquon hits the F12 but Legacy has his foot on the ropes. Saquon climbs to the top rope. Legacy kicks his leg out from under him. As Legacy is about to lift him up, Saquon slips down and away from him. He cannot hold Legacy for another F12 and drops him awkwardly. Legacy pins him with a Spanish Fly.
Winner: Sean Legacy
D’Angelo drives up to his house but before he can go through the front door his phone rings. Waller isn’t there any more he went to Tony’s restaurant. He felt hungry. Tony demands he…”stay right there” because he is “coming to beat his ass”. Oookay. Tony gets in his truck and drives off.
Another segment of Kam Hendrix stealing Mr. Perfect’s gimmick in showing what a great athlete he is. This time he is on a basketball court. He makes all sorts of crazy shot.
While Tavion Heights and Myles Borne are in the ring the Halloween Havoc wheel is unveiled. Security separates the two men. Heights complains about being stabbed in the back again. Borne insists that it was just a matter of time before Heights took his shot. They try to get at each other as red and yellow lights flicker and a laughing voice can be heard.
It is Danhausen. He makes an announcement. He commands the druids at the wheel to spin it.
It lands on…Weapons Wild Match at Halloween Havoc!
DarkState shares some words and thoughts backstage. Cutler James tells Dion Lennox he owes him one for taking Cruz’s shot to the back with the steel steps last week. GM Stone wants to know what happened last week? Dion says Cruz is a man who cannot control his impulses. Stone will make another match for them but doesn’t want to be responsible for anything that happens so it has to be an unsanctioned match.
Tony is scouring his restaurant. His kitchen staff has no idea where Waller might be but he is somewhere in the building. Tony continues huffing and puffing calling Waller’s name. His front of house guy tells Tony…Waller just left. Dude tells Tony that Waller left a note for him. Tony goes into a dining room and finds a note on a table. It instructs Tony to meet him “where it all started”.
Tank and Hank versus Galeno and El Hijo De Doctor Wagner Jr. (AAA World Tag Team Champions) – Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, Semi-Finals
All four men are laying in the middle of the ring. They get up and start brawling again. Galeno head butt Hank but Tank is the legal man. He clotheslines Galeno down. Hank gives Wagner a Bossman Slam. Galeno gets bulldozed by both Hank and Tank. They splash Galeno from the top rope. Hank and Tank get confused as to who should cover Galeno…and finally the right one does.
Winners: Tank and Hank
Hank and Tank, Dar and Moreno meet at the trophy staring each other down.
NXT Women’s Champion Jordan is shown meeting with GM Adam Pearce on Raw. She thinks it is unfair she has to put up her title against Wren Sinclair at Halloween Havoc. Iyo Sky shows up. Jordan says when she gets the call up to the main roster she is going to walk all over everyone including Sky. They start arguing. Pearce says he needs to speak to Sky. He will finish up with Jordan later. I have no idea how this ties to anything. Bizarre.
Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey are in the locker room. Grey is still pissed that Jordan jumped her from behind last week. Wren says she has got THIS…this weekend at Havoc.
John Cena will be at NXT next week when the show airs on Wednesday against AEW Dynamite.
Zilla Fatu is at the Wheel with Sarah Schreiber to determine what his and Charlie Dempsey’s fate will be at Halloween Havoc. Arianna Grace comes out. He tells him he wouldn’t be anything without his last name. One of the druids attacks Faut hitting him with a shovel. It is Dempsey and the rest of BirthRight. They smash his injured hand with a shovel.
Another segment of Shiloh Hill conducting more experiments to counter Naraku’s mist.
EK Prosper versus Jackson Drake (c) – NXT North American Championship Match
Drake misses his cutter. EK drops him with a Poisonrana. Myka Lockwood gets up on the apron. Kam Hendrix shoves EK off the top rope. Drake pins EK with a running knee smash to the face.
Winner: …and still NXT North American Champion, Jackson Drake.
NXT Champion Grayson Waller is shown heading to the Performance Center.
Zaria is still at the Center and has a fit over Izzi. She claims she doesn’t know anything about her and will destroy her at Havoc.
Because of BirthRight’s attack tonight, Dempsey and Fatu will spin the wheel at Halloween Havoc to determine their match.
Waller is in the ring. He says he is one step ahead of Tony all the time. The past doesn’t make a difference and Tony’s future runs through him. Tony is shown driving up to the Performance Center. Waller takes off his jacket in the ring. They begin throwing down in the parking lot. Security and officials swarm them. They keep fighting and brawling. They fight in the bed of Tony’s truck as we fade to black…
