The Cazanas claim they are the stewards of the National Wrestling Alliance and Joe Cazana claims he and his son, The Country Gentlemen, follow the rules “by the book.”  The Slimeballz take exception to that and want to bust that book over their heads.  That’s why tonight Tommy Rant and Sage Chantz will face in the main event KC Cazana…and Joe Cazana?

Huh.  OK, well this I have to see on “X.”

The show kicks off with Aron Stevens crowing about how he and his Blunt Force Trauma made Eric Smalls pay for costing them the NWA Tag Team Titles at Back to the Territories, and how at Samhain 2, they will get their rematch with Smalls in a cage to avoid any interference.

We come to you from the PowerrrStation at the WEDU PBS studios in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call, as your First Match of the Night is for the…

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Thom Latimer(c) vs. Race Allen

Latimer is definitely projecting the ideals of a fighting champion as he prepares against Allen, another of Dory Funk’s students from the Funking Conservatory.  Latimer is crisp against the youngster in full control until Allen catches him with a forearm to the back and sends him out of the ring.  He picks him up and rams his back into the ring post.  Allen is calm and composed as he tosses Latimer back in the ring so he can cause more damage.  He attempts a comeback but Allen catches him in a sleeper to further wear down The King of All Evil.  Latimer fires up and escapes with a lawbreaker, then nails Allen with an inverted atomic drop followed by a clothesline.  Now he connects with his Confusion Bay spinning slam and drives Allen headfirst to the mat with a DDT.  Dazed, Allen is on rollerskates until Latimer’s pop-up powerbomb ends it.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Thom Latimer

Galli also announces that Latimer will defend the Ten Pounds of Gold against EC3 in a rematch at Samhain 2.

in a vignette, NWA Owner Billy Corgan addressed the controversy on Tiffany Nieves costing Natalia Markova her title shot on The Burke last NWA POWERRR. While he acknowledges he employs Markova, she is a friend as well.  He also announces that Markova will have another chance at a title shot when she fights Kylie Paige and “Hollyhood” Haley J at Samhain 2.

Until then, let’s head back to the ring for more title action, this time for the…

NWA World Tag Team Championship: Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch(c) vs. The Fixers (Wrecking Ball Legursky and Jay Bradley)

It’s been a while since The Fixers held tag gold, and this is their shot.  But we soon learn that Bradley and Legursky have another incentive as we learn they were paid off by Stevens earlier.

The Fixers get the hot start on the champs as Bradley bodyslams Murdoch on the concrete floor.  He’s unceremoniously thrown back in the ring, and now the bell indicates the match has started.  Murdoch fights his way out, and as he is whipped into the corner, Bradley rushes at him, only to receive a boot.  Murdoch goes to the high-rent district, hits a flying forearm, and then gets the tag to Knox, and he is a one-man wrecking crew.  A slam by Bradley ends that, and now it’s Legursky turn.  He misses a diving head butt, but it’s shenanigans by The Fixers that prove to make Knox In Peril as they cut the ring in half.  Bradley has Knox in an abdominal stretch and pulls at his beard for more leverage as Murdoch protests.  He even gets to hang on to Legursky’s arm before the ref stops that nonsense.  Bradley whips Knox to the ropes and he lands a running crossbody and that knocks the wind out of them.  The fans are fired up as they chant at Knox to, “Get the tag!”  He obliges to Murdoch, and he becomes Captain Badass en Fuego.  He goes up top again and flies with a crossbody to cover Legursky, but Bradley breaks up the count.  Things break down in the ring, and once the dust settles Knox gives a slam to Legursky and they go high/low for the pin and the win.

Your Winners, and Still NWA World Tag Team Champions:  Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch

After the mic, Murdoch gets on the mic and shouts at Stevens to see what they did.  He makes it clear he and Knox are coming for him, especially after what they did to Eric Smalls, and assures us at Samhain 2 that they are coming for blood.

Daisy Kill and Talos talk about the loss of Kill’s ukulele and it turns out Kratos and Odinson managed to find it.  Leave it be said Kill is not happy and wants it back.

I mean, as far as reasons to fight someone, I buy it.

Speaking of things people buy into, your next match is a…

Submission Match: Baron Von Storm vs. “Magic” Jake Dumas

Say what you will, fans are really into Storm’s latest incarnation, chanting for the “Claw.”  As the Magic Bastard tries to attack The Baro, he shrugs it off and looks at him dead-eyed.  He throws Dumas around, and that’s when he takes a powder out of the squared circle to rethink his strategy.  He gets back in the ring and goes for a submission from behind but Storm almost gets a reverse claw.  Dumas maneuvers around and locks in a straight jacket.  Storm backs him in the corner, and the hold gets released.  Dumas grabs his top hat and attempts to swing it at him like a foreign object.  The ref takes it away but not before Dumas grabs a playing card and uses it to cut Storm’s eyes with its edge.  As the ref goes to check on Storm, he blindly locks in the Iron Claw, and Dumas laughs as he walks away.  So that means…

Your Winner via Disqualification, and Still Better than David Blaine:  “Magic” Jake Dumas

The Country Gentlemen (KC and Joe Cazana) vs. The SlimeBallz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant)

Joe takes his sweet time taking off his white shirt and sports coat, not to mention his big belt buckle.  As AJ does not have his manager license to be at ringside, he takes off to the back thinking his little brother and his pop got things under control.

The bell rings and Joe and Rant start.  Papa Joe slaps the taste out of the Slimeball and stares a hole at the old man.  He backs up and KC tags in, and then The SlimeBallz shows off their tag chemistry working over “White Lightning” Cazana.  Chantz whips KC to the ropes and it gets reversed.  Joe catches Chantz with a cheap shot to his back, and now the tables have turned as The Cazana work him over “by the book” to make him a Slimeball in Peril.  At one point, KC does a little Line dancing as he two-steps in the squared circle before dropping the leg on Chantz.  Joe tags in and gets a little cocky until Chantz gives him a schoolboy roll-up for the one, two, and three.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  The Slimeballz

Before Rany and Chantz can celebrate, AJ runs out and the Cazanas beat down on the Slimeballz. Joe finds a mic and says he’s sick of it all:  from Austin Idol punching him to Corgan’s booking, and being in Florida instead of the beautiful state of Tennessee.  Cheap heat aside, Joe challenges the Slimeballz to a match at Samhain 2 and wants them to find a third tag partner to face the Cazanas.

After the match, we get another music video from The Immortals as a counter to Daisy Kill and Talos as the show goes to the credits.

Final Thoughts:

A better effort in the Main Event, as it wasn’t so much a rocker in the ring, but it furthered an angle between the Country Gentlemen and The Slimeballz.  The same could be said of most of the matches this evening as the Samhain 2 signature event approaches.

Until then, see ya next Tuesday from “X!”
