It’s been a week since the double PPV of NWA 75 and we get back to new champions and new feuds coming up, but still the same legacy and tradition the National Wrestling Alliance was based.  to usher in the new era, Joe Galli narrates a montage that highlights things to expect moving forward in the NWA.

Now we are at the Skyway Studios in Nashville, TN.  Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call, and the show starts with the wrestlers entering the ring in slow motion.  That leads to the First Match of the Night, and it is for the…

NWA Women’s World Television Championship: Max The Impaler (c) (with Father James Mitchell) vs. Taylor Rising

The match is governed by the 6:05 time limit, but this honestly may be the longest time Rising has in the ring, as the Non-Binary Nightmare just toys with her.  It is a one-sided affair for the better part of four minutes until Rising manages a chop block at 2:06 and a ‘rana to cover, but Max kicks out.  After growing tired, Max levels her with a clothesline at 1:36 to put and end to Rising’s misery.

Your Winner via Pinfall, and Still NWA Women’s World Television Champion:  Max the Impaler

Even though the match has ended, Max continues to brutalize Rising until Markova gets in the ring to make the save.

Samhain PPV and Father James Mitchell present the next PPV on October 28th in Cleveland, OH, titled Samhaim.

Now if Danzig and Eerie Von are involved as well, sign me up!

Kyle Davis with Aron Stevens and Blunt Force Trauma after winning the NWA World Tag Team Titles on Night One, and then retaining on Night Two against Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox in controversial fashion.  Stevens tells Davis to go back to journalism school and goes to tape review to give fans his revisionist history.  But he makes it clear that the champs are here to stay.

Speaking of teams with title aspirations, the next match is between…

The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos) vs. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum)

As the Outrunners turn their back, they get jumped by Odinson and Kratos who are laying the smackdown in the Skyway Studios.  Kratos is in control on offense against Magnum, and then Odinson tags in and nails him with a spinning Asgardian uppercut to the back for a two count.  Displaying a lot of tag chemistry, Odinson gives Kratos a military press to drop him on the Outrunner for a splash for another near fall.  Then Magum is launched by Kratos’ signature vertical suplex from one end of the squared circle to the other, and then he stalks his prey.  Floyd tries to help his tag partner, but Kratos slingshots him in the ring, then picks him up in a fireman’s carry to a running  DVD onto Magnum in the corner. He covers and Floyd breaks the count.  Then Magnum chop blocks Kratos in the knee to drop him and the Outrunners are finally in control for the first time, as they have him isolated in the corner to make him a Most Feared in Peril.  Kratos fights his way out to get the hot tag and Odinson is an Asgardian en Fuego with Asgardian uppercuts aplenty.  The end comes when The Immortals double team with Kratos propping up Magnum as Odinson delivers a flying Asgardin uppercut to earn the win

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Kratos and Odinson

New backstage reporter Sam Laterna is with Outlandish Zicky Dice, and he’s found his way back to NWA. He’s back to prove he can do things better as he is the true holder of the NWA Television Championship.  He’ll show us next week as he will be in a fatal four-way between Dak Draper, Judais, and “that little freak in the bondage gear” Gaagz the Gymp, and it will be outlandish.  Welcome back, you crazy freak.

Davis at the Podium with the NWA Women’s Tag Team champions, Kylie Paige and Ella Envy of Pretty Empowered, and the NWA Women’s World champion, Kenzie Paige.  Kenzie lets the fans know that where they go from here it’s the Pretty Era in the NWA. Kylie and Envy talk about how no women, including Madi and Missa Kate of M95, aren’t on their level.  But with the new PPV coming up near Halloween, that means they can have a cool costume party in October.  But Kenzie gives the final world that after ending Kamille’s 813-day title run, she proclaims that the Real One Time is in control of the Burke and the NWA.

The next match is to settle some grudges between…

Brady Pierce vs. Rolando Freeman

Freeman looking for redemption as his former partner Pierce dumped him to the outside during the Austin Idol 21-man Battle Royal on night two of NWA 75, thus ending The Spectaculars partnership and going into business for himself.  Freeman tries to gain the upper hand, but Pierce picks him up with ease into a military press to toss outside.  He wriggles out and again takes the fight to Pierce, but sets him up for a powerbomb.  Freeman manages to scale down his back for a Victory roll, but Pierce stomps Freeman and now powerbombs him hard to the mat and poses over his lifeless body.  Then he tosses the Biggest Brother around and gives him a big boot.  He spanks Freeman to humiliate him, and he has had enough.  It makes no difference as Pierce nails a high back body drop, then delivers an elbow drop to the jaw and he is done.

Your Winner via Pinfall:  Brady Pierce

Laterna now interviews Koa Laxamana and Kallies Malia.  Next week the Hawaiian Hitman will have Colby Corino at his side as they face Homicide and Joe Alonzo, and Ricky Morton will be the special guest referee. Koa promises us he will persevere with Corino at his side, and Kallies agrees even though Morton does not need to be involved in the match.

Kyle Davis at the Podium with EC3 as he addresses the NWA after winning the Ten Pounds of Gold.  So let us have The Over Man speak, since he is Over…Man!

“75 years of the most perfect legacy in professional wrestling.  75 years of the most notable brand in professional wrestling.  75 years of nostalgia, history, honor, respect.  75 years to come to this moment, to actualize this exact moment.  Well, here I stand giving the NWA the perfect ending. Because now we move forward. We look forward to the future, we see that there is a new era upon us. An age of antiquity. An age of EC3; dare I say, the Over Man Era has begun.”

The fans Chant “O-Ver-Man!” in the background.

“75 years had the perfect ending. Tyrus’s career had the perfect ending. The Over Man does not wrestle matches; he delivers Greek frickin’ tragedies. Perfect moment begins today!  This new era, this day, and here I stand as The NWA World’s Heavyweight champion, and as The NWA World’s Heavyweight champion, I will defend this title everywhere. I will take this title to the beaches. I will take this title to the streets. I will take this title to land, to sea, to air.  I will fight for this title in the third dimension, fourth dimension, fifth dimension. I will defend this title on Mars! This, The OverMan Era has begun.  As the world’s heavyweight champion, I actualized [and] became who I’m supposed to be.  But now who I want to be is the greatest NWA champion of all time, the guy that can out-woo Flair, the guy that can spit more fire than Steamboat, the guy that can suffer harder times than Dusty Rhodes because hard times create strong men, and nobody’s stronger and harder than The Over Man.

To become the best I have to defend against the best.  One year ago, I manifested this moment. One year ago, I directly came here and confronted one person. Next week I would like to revisit him; Tom Latimer.  You’ve been warned.”

Not a bad way to usher in the new era.

That leaves us with the Main Event, and it is a six-man tag match between…

The Fixers LLC (Wrecking Ball Legursky, Matt Vine, and The Fixer) vs. The Southern Six (Thrillbilly Silas Mason, Kerry Morton, and Alex Taylor)

Jay Bradley is nowhere to be found, and Morton is still upset over dropping his NWA Junior Heavyweight title to Colby Corino at the NWA 75 PPV on night one.  The masked Fixer starts off and Morton lays into him to alleviate his frustration.  Then Legursky tags in, but so does Taylor and he runs into him like a brick wall. Legursky lifts the Southern Sixer in a military press and tosses him like a sack of potatoes.  He tags in Mason and this is a “Meat Forever” moment.  Just two big men laying some heavy hands on one another until Legursky head butts Mason.  He rushes into the corner but the Thrillbilly dodges and then backdrops Legursky to the center of the ring.  Now Matt Vine tags in, and Matty Ice is stopped cold.  The Southern Six add the violence and the LLC member is in Peril.  Vine fights out and gives a reverse neckbreaker to Taylor and gets the tag to the masked Fixer, and he just bounces off Mason who clotheslines him hard.  He picks him up and feeds him to Morton, as he delivers the Kiss It Goodbye to end the match in one, two, and three.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  The Southern Six

The Southern Six stand tall as the show goes to the credits in this new era of the NWA.

NWA Powerrr - 09/05/2023
3.5

Final Thoughts:

Not a bad way to kick off the new set of TV tapings for the National Wrestling Alliance.  While I was told this during my time covering the PPV in St. Louis, the execution is fantastic and still retains that classic studio look with a modern twist.  EC3 cut a fantastic promo to usher in the Over Man Era, and there is a lot of potential in the next couple of months heading to their next PPV.

For now, we’ll see ya in seven!
