Greetings and salutations everyone and welcome to this weeks Impact TV report. This is the final TV before the Under Siege Special on Impact+ and we have some huge matches set for this episode of Impact TV including a Monsters Ball match between JONAH and PCO. Without further ado, lets get to it.

The Show opened with a recap of last week’s main event which brought Josh Alexander face to face with Moose again. We also got a recap of W.Morrissey being beat down by The Major Players. We also got a recap of the PCO/JONAH feud which will be settled on this episode in a Monsters Ball match.

W. Morrissey vs Brian Myers – Tables Match

The first match of the night was underway right away and it was retribution for W.Morrissey. It was also noted that W.Morrissey is likely tired after appearing on All Elite Weekly Dynamite last night (Sure…).

W.Morriseey was firmly in control of the match until Chelsea Green and Matt Cordona appeared and hit him with Cordona’s Digital Media Championship.

This gave Myers the advantage and the numbers as The Major Players were choking Morrissey. While the attack continued, Green set up a table at the corner of the ring but The Major Players found themselves unsuccessful in winning the match as Jordynne Grace came out to even the odds for Morrissey. Grace and Morrissey put Cordona through a table and ran Green away from ringside.

Myers, now alone tried to hit Morrissey with a piece of a broken table but this only angered Morrissey more as he hit Myers with a Powerbomb over the top rope onto a table that was set up on the outside of the ring for the win.

Winner: W. Morrissey

Gia Miller is with Rich Swann and Willie Mack. Mack and Swann have a match with The Bullet Club later on the show. The Major Players eventually interrupt them as they are both groggy from just being put through tables. There was a confrontation between Swann and Cordona where the latter reminded the former that he is in fact a champion here in Imapct.

Ace Austin (c) vs Rocky Romero – X Division Championship Match

As the match started both men showed their technical wrestling skills in a very 50/50 match. Eventually Romero would gain the upper hand as he set up Austin for the Forever Clotheslines. Austin was able to counter with a second-rope spin kick.

Eventually Romero would hit a tope suicida on Austin on the outside of the ring. Austin hit Romero with an Apron kick but Romero hit a Hurricarana on Austin on the outside of the ring.

Back in the ring, Romero hit Austin with a Tornado DDT followed quickly by a Sliced Bread. Romero was now firmly in control of the match. Romero then went for a double stomp off the second rope but Austin was able to move away and went for another spin kick from the second rope but Romero avoided it and locked Austin in a Boston Crab.

Austin mustered enough energy to reach the rope for a rope break. Romero tried to keep the momentum going but Austin hit The Fold to retain the X-Division Championship.

After the match, Trey Miguel attacked Austin u the ramp and through the crowd. Miguel will use his rematch this Saturday at Under Siege.

Gia Miller is with Impact World Heavyweight Champion, Josh Alexander. Alexander was asked about D’Amores hand picked opponent at Under Siege, Tomohiro Ishii. Alexander said that he will be watching his match later against Steve Maclin very close and that this Saturday he would be facing the “Best Wrestler on earth”.

Masha Slamovich vs Damaris

Both women stared at each other and Slamovich went for Damris’ throat. Damaris tried some offense but this just angered Slamovich who went for a Snow Plow for the win.

Backstage, Raj Singh & Shera cut a promo on Bhupinder Gujjar and his match against VSK last week.

We now cut to Dem Boys, The Briscoes who say that on Saturday they will be Impact Tag Team Champions when they beat Violent By Design. VBD eventually interrupt and they obviously say they will retain on Saturday.

Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs Jay White & Chris Bey

The commentators once again made mention of the mini confrontation that Swann and Cordona had earlier.

Swann took the early advantage and the team of Mack and Swann had full control of the Bullet Club early on in the match. The Bullet Club eventually used their cheap tactics on Swann to get the advantage of the match. Bullet Club cut the ring off for Swann and even knock Mack off the Apron as all focus went onto beating up Swann.

Swann hit the hot tag for Mack to come in and start taking control of the match. Mack hit a Samoan Drop on Bey among other impressive looking moves. White came into the match and was able to contain the offense from Mack. Bullet Club hit a Art of Finesse which gave them the win.

After the match, Honor No More attacked White and Bey but The Good Brothers made the save. It was an all out brawl to set up future group matches.

Tomohiro Ishii vs Steve Maclin

This is a match with two heavy beefy men who like to hit and that is the exact way that the match started. Both men traded forearms in the middle of the ring. Maclin eventually had some of the control of the match.

Maclin took the match to the ground as he tried to use his ground and pound techniques. Ishii eventually hit Maclin with a back suplex. Ishii now set up Maclin for a series of chops on Maclin that could no have felt good at all. Maclin somehow hit an Olympic Slam on Ishii but this was only good enough for a two-count. Maclin then put Ishii in a Boston Crab.

The Boston Crab only angered Ishii as Maclin learned why Josh Alexander called him the best wrestler on earth. Ishii with some very stiff punches, forearms and chops on Maclin. This set up Maclin to take one of Ishii’s famous Brainbusters for the three-count.

Winner: Tomohiro Ishii

In the Swinger’s Dungeon we saw Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice being Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice.

Jonah vs PCO – Monster’s Ball Match

Both men were released from their holding cells and JONAH got right to work on PCO. Both men took the match up the ramp, backstage and everywhere.

Eventually after giving the viewers and live audience a tour of the arena they ended up in the ring. PCO was able to hit a Hurricarana from the second rope onto JONAH on chairs that just so happened to be set up.

JONAH rolled outside but PCO stalked his opponent but JONAH was able to hit PCO over the head with a sledgehammer outside of the ring. JONAH and PCO used all the chairs, all the metal, all the weapons they could find. PCO hit JONAH with dives, flips, cannonballs, and suicide dives. PCO then hit JONAH with a cannonball form the apron onto the outside but all of this impressive offense only gave him a two-count.

PCO set up a few more chairs which eventually he fell onto. JONAH with a major lariat on PCO but this was only good for a two-count. JONAH gets the thumbtacks and dumped them all over the ring

JONAH nailed PCO with a huge powerbomb onto the thumbtacks but only gets a two count. Both men are now visibly beat up and angry which only increased the intensity of the match.

PCO hit JONAH with a sledgehammer shot and drove JONAH to the outside from the ropes through a table. PCO went to grab JONAH from the outside of the ring and hit a moonsault from the top rope for the 3-Count and the win

Winner: PCO

Impact TV: May 5, 2022

This was an enjoyable episode of Impact TV. The focus was all over the place as they are setting up the Under Siege Impact+ Special scheduled for this Saturday May 7. Overall we had some good in-ring matches, teases of future matches and a good set up for a TV Special this weekend.
