Joey Ryan has launched a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct.
Ryan is seeking $200,000.00 in economic damages and $5,000,000.00 in non-economic damages. The losses include earnings he would have made from his Bar Wrestling promotions and his wrestling career which is totaled at $20,000 a month.
All told, the damages total $10,000,000 and the suit states those damages were caused by the defendants’ “malice, hatred, ill-will, despicable, intentional acts” against him.
Ryan is also asking the court to stop the defendants from continuing to publish the statements and to retract and delete the statements they have made.
The lawsuit was filed in the United States District and Central Court last week, and was first reported by HeelByNature.com.
The suit states: “The Plaintiff’s personal and professional reputation were harmed as a result of the defendants’ defamatory statements and such a reputation is continuing to be harmed because the defendants continue to make the same defamatory statements.”
In July, Ryan published an hour-long YouTube video in which he responded to accusations of sexual assault and harassment made against him.
Ryan was fired by Impact Wrestling in June of this year.
