You know, from what I’ve noticed is that fans don’t want to believe the version of Cody Rhodes the Viper Randy Orton was talking about is real, when they know each other more than we ever will. So, lies exist, but so does truth. Having a critical mind can go a long way and listening to what Orton has to say isn’t going to incite Mars to explode.
Randy mentioned how he had Rhodes’ back during his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, how he tried to calm Kevin Owens when he turned on Cody, and respects Pat McAfee for doing more for his career than the American Nightmare ever did. “Take, take, take,” repetition hit especially hard because the frustration and pain emotes in his voice.
I don’t know him personally, obviously, but I’m proud of Royce Keys for landing his WWE dreams, even though, it happened after the fatal passing of his mom, who he hoped would see it. Coming from East Palo Alto didn’t ground him to believe that he couldn’t go further because someone else said so. He fought for what he knows he wants and achieved it deservingly.
During a Street Fight match between the Wyatt Sicks and the MFTs, Talla Tonga successfully lifted Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy for separate takedowns, but he tried to do the same with Erik Rowan, but he was too strong himself as he delivered a couple of elbow shots to Tonga before kicking him out of the ring. Uncle Howdy, as a one-man show, used a chair to floor multiple of his opponents. Even Nikki Cross intervened. This time, Rowan and Talla spilled to the floor, where Erik may have tweaked his right knee. Just as Tama was preparing the Cutthroat for Howdy, Solo swooped in with the Samoan Spike to end the match. Tama seemed… confused.
After being put in handcuffs by Drew McIntyre, Jacob Fatu owned it by arriving to the show in a cop car spitting facts on the mic. That little stunt didn’t embarrass him the way McIntyre hoped, that or he’s lying. Nevertheless, no one will be able to stop him since he plans to dog walk Drew’s ass, then put him in the rearview mirror.
Truly, I don’t how I feel about the Tag Team match where R-Truth and Damian Priest were taking on Kofi Kingston and… Ha! Grayson Waller. What the hell is Waller doing here? I just love being confused by the collection of bizarre unifications narrated as solid. Commentary was talking about secondhand embarrassment, and this is embarrassing.
I gotta say, witnessing Jade and Rhea verbally tearing each other’s throats is well formulated. I enjoy every second of it because it feels authentic. They don’t just talk about the other, but also, they’re locker room surroundings being “weak” according to Cargill when it comes to Ripley being able to move as liberally as she has because of that statement. “Sunday, I’m putting belt to ass.” said Cargill. That made me laugh and cry, as in sadly, at the same time. Black folks know what I’m talking about. Rhea clapped back with “You’re a narcissistic, selfish, fake ass b*tch!” A smile popped up.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Jordynne Grace – Women’s US Title No. 1 Contender’s match
Stratton charged Grace in the corner, however, Jordynne managed to trap Tiffany by the arms and repeatedly slammed her chest first into the turnbuckles, followed by multiple lariats. Jordynne kept her foot on the gas pedal as she delivered an uppercut to Tiffy’s jaw. She succeeded with a superplex, but she fell victim to a DDT.
A back-and-forth tussle in the middle of the ring went on for a bit until Tiffany ended it with a teeth-shattering knee strike to the jaw of Grace. That sent her backwards as if she had no bones in her body. Stratton was going for the double stomp, Jordynne avoided it the first time, but an elbow to the face resulted in Stratton triumphantly landing the stomp the second try.
Grace demonstrated unique offense when she sealed Stratton around the ropes, so she could inflicted numerous headbutts like a rabid animal. That packaged powerbomb almost granted her the victory. Tiffy retaliated with a handspring Stunner. She marks herself as Giulia’s next contender with a winning Moonsault. As much as I’m glad Stratton won, part of me thinks it should have been Grace.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Trick Williams said that Sami Zayn did something worse than kicking Lil Yatchy, and that’s ruin his WreatleMania entrance. Is no one going to capilaze on the selfishness? Oh, well, I guess I will. He went further by mocking Zayn by having someone dressed as Gingy from Shrek. Once Sami showed up, he informed Williams that he was one of the first to agree that Trick was the future of this industry, but for the past four months, he’s shown the complete opposite of that opinion. Too much glitz, not enough grit.
This wasn’t a match (Bliss & Flair vs. Valkyria & Bayley), this allowed Nia Jax and Lash Legend to insert themselves for dominance’s sake ahead of their title battle tomorrow night.
Ha! Ha! So, Johnny Gargano arrived in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal just to lay on his stomach?? To make matters even more embarrassing, Kit Wilson tripped on Gargano, so he lost. Joe Hendry was launched out of the match, thank God. Royce Keys’ resilience against Aleister Black’s knee strike was stageringly impressive. Black went over-and-out. Keys, Otis, and Talla Tonga were left. Otis momentarily floored his challengers, but Talla’s sudden boot to his face killed that momentum as he’s thrown outside. Royce flipped Talla off and becomes this year’s winner, right after Carmelo Hayes.
Why is it that they love to whine about people not taking responsibility, like Rhodes said about Orton, when he hasn’t either. No one does the one thing that’s required to fix whatever has been broken. Saying “I’m sorry” would make them look like they’re weak and not strong, when strength isn’t in britality but the mind. Well… CM Punk gives Rhodes some advice as Cody gave some in return, standing together prior to WrestleMania. Let’s just ignore that Punk didn’t tell Cody he loved him back… It doesn’t matter.
Have fun, everyone!
