It’s been a couple of weeks since the Samhain pay-per-view, and the National Wrestling Alliance is continuing with its season premiere that has the NWA Women’s World Champion, Kenzie Paige, looking to make a statement about her title reign. Her opponent, Taylor Rising, is another new face who wants to prove her mettle against the champ. We’ll see who feels Pretty Empowered after the main event tonight.

The Southern Six (Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) vs The Heatseekers (Elliott Russell and Matt Sigmon)
The last time we saw the decorated NWA tag team was at The Crockett Cup, and The Heatseekers have the hometown advantage, and the tag chemistry. Things are looking good as Sigmon goes up the top turnbuckle until Morton distracts him from behind and Taylor yanks him off to tumble down the hard way. Now it’s Six’s high as they stay on Sigmon and his Heat is in Peril. At one point, Morton shoots him into the ropes and Sigmon reverses into a dropkick. Both men are down, yet Sigmon gets the hot tag to Russell and he becomes a Heatseeker en Fuego. The match goes all over the place, and Sigmon gives a cannonball to Morton on the outside, and Russell nails Taylor with a tilt-a-whirl shoulder breaker for a two count. The Heatseekers set up for their finisher, but once again Morton interferes to allow Taylor to escape and shoves Russell into this tag partner up top. Russell is dazed and Taylor puts him away with the Green Whistle.

At the Podium are all three of The Southern Six, and they tell the fans to thank them for putting butts in seats and getting them back to the Robards this November 18th in Sarasota, FL. Mason plugs his Six stablemates and notes that he is the “The Star” of the upcoming movie The Iron Claw and the NWA. Taylor sums it up by hitting the, “When you’re hot, you’re hot!” catchphrase. Sadly, Davis is not hot.

NWA Women’s Television Championship: Max the Impaler(c)(with Father James Mitchell) vs. Missa Kate
As this match is contested under The Television title rules, Kate has 6:05 minutes to live.
(Author’s Note: Yeah, I know how that last sentence sounds. You also didn’t say I was wrong. Also, I realize I should do a Haiku in Review™, but that only happens if I feel the wrestler and/or the booking committee is phoning it in. Neither of them are doing that. Plus, who doesn’t want to pause and watch a horrific train wreck?)
Speaking of not boring, Sal joins at commentary and his insight is, shall we say, unique to say the least when calling the match.
As for the match itself, Max no sells Kate’s offense and dishes out the pain. Kate throws everything at Max, but nothing doing. Kate finally gets a lucky break when she chop blocks Max to drop to the middle ropes and then follows with a knee to the back of the head. Kate has momentum and goes for her Kick-Fil-A, only to have Max block the Finisher. Kate tries to avoid Max’s swinging forearms, but a lariat ends it at 3:50.

May Valentine is backstage with two newcomers in the women’s ranks; Danni and Charity Bee, The King Bees. They are grateful for the opportunity to come to the NWA, and they have their eyes set on the Women’s tag belts held by Pretty Empowered. We’ll see them in action on next week’s POWERRR.

Joining Davis at The Podium is the NWA Heavyweight champion, EC3, coming off a successful title run against Thom Latimer. However, he has a new challenge coming up, and it’s with The Dane Event himself, Jax Dane.
So let’s begin with Dane himself:
“For five years…five long years Billy Corgan has protected the NWA’s greatest asset, the world champion. He did however stick me in the ring with Tim Storm, and as much as I love Tim Storm I guess we saw how that ended up, right?
EC3, you’re a different man. You’re the first one out of all the champions that wanted to step into The Dane Event. And I understand it’s for the World Heavyweight Championship, but I don’t really blame Billy Corgan. I’m not famous. I don’t have all the social media followers. I’m not out here panhandling for the TikTok likes. But I am dangerous. And I am championship material.
Look at me. You may have the world convinced that you’re the Over Man. But in reality, that title run is just over, man.”

Now for the rebuttal from EC3:
“So this is the part of wrestling lore where I talk about how I respect Jax Dane and I talk about all he’s accomplished and you know what Jax? It’s true. I respect you. I respect the way you handle your business. I respect the way you fight. I respect what you have done with this championship. I respect what you have done in your life outside of wrestling. You’re a businessman, too, right? A successful businessman. You know, you have a family.
You know what I have? [Gestures to the Ten Pounds of Gold] This. Because this is all the matters. This is all I care about. This is what’s most important to me. This, I have no comfort. I have no business propositions. What I have is a defining goal and a legacy to ascend this championship back to its pristine Honorous place as the greatest championship in professional wrestling.
And to do that, I beat guys like you.”
Well, I’m sold. Let’s see who else is.

Blunt Force Trauma (Carnage and Damage, with Aron Stevens) vs. Magic Inc. (Cody James, “Magic” Jake Dumas, with CJ)
Magic Inc. looks confident…for five seconds before BFT jumps them at the start of the match, and then Dumas takes on damage from…err, Damage. Now a tag to Carnage and CJ gets involved and tugs at his leg. That distraction takes away focus from Dumas who tags in James he takes it to the masked man. Now Magic Inc. starts their turn as Carnage looks Tramatized and in Peril. Before Dumas can pull off The Prestige, Blunt Force Trauma regains the driver’s seat. James and Dumas double team and at one point Dumas comes over to the other side of the ring to pull a sleight of hand and he and The Barker nail the double team cutter/front slam on Damage, but the ref points out to James that Carnage is the legal man. Before he can grab him, Stevens tosses in a white glove. As the ref disposes of it, Stevens gets on the apron and clocks James with the loaded glove, and Carnage covers for the pin and the win.
Your Winners Via Pinfall: Blunt Force Trauma
After the match Blunt Force Trauma wants to add injury to insult. As they prep Dumas for Stevens, CJ comes from behind and gives him a low blow down under, and he is sucking wind. They may have lost the battle, but Magic Inc pulled off a great trick in the end, and it is still more entertaining than anything Criss Angel does.
Valentine now has with her Chris Silvio, Esq. and Blake “Bulletproof” Troop, along with Koa Laxamana and Kallies. Silvio tells “Actual May Valentine” (Sam Leterna, we hardly knew ye) that he arranged this match next week because he wants Troop to send a message to the locker room that he is more than a professional wrestler, but an MMA fighter who will snap anyone in half. Laxamana is up for the challenge, and Kallies chimes in to say her man will kick his “f’n ass.”
Well, well. Hope they can use that language on whatever TV station that isn’t The CW (and really; who started THAT rumor?)
At the Podium with Davis Ella Envy and Kylie Paige of Pretty Empowered. Envy addresses the haters and notes that while she loves Jazz bringing in the King Bees, They will still be the NWA Women’s Tag team champions because they are Pretty Damn Good next week.
So let’s get to The Main Event between…

Kenzie Paige vs. Taylor Rising
Paige exudes confidence heading to this non-title match, but Rising looks just as impressive in her own right. As the bell rings, both women try to feel each other out, and Paige goes to a test of strength and then lures in Rising. She manages to overpower the champ with a codebreaker and follows with a huracanrana to a tiger feint kick to a springboard DDT. Rising covers for a count of two. She goes for a double underhook, but Paige blocks the move, clotheslines her, and stomps Rising in the corner. Then gives the upstart a snapmare to a wicked punt to the back, and Paige covers and gets a two count.
She is taking the challenger to task as she locks Rising in a sleeper hold and then rains elbows on the side of her head like she took lessons from a combat club somewhere in Blackpool. Rising fights back and gets a sunset flip for a near fall, and then she goes up top for a high-risk maneuver, and Paige catches her with a high kick. She climbs up and Paige attempts a superplex, but Rising blocks her and manages to get to the mat and nail the champ with an electric chair for a two count. She goes for the tiger feint again but misses the mark, and Paige connects with a superkick for a two count. Then both women go move for countermove, but Paige digs deep and delivers The Kenzie Cutter to cover for the one, two, and three.

Paige grabs Rising by the hair and taunts her with The Burke, and that brings Markova out to make the save. As she and Rising head to the back, Paige soaks in the boos as the show goes to the credits.
