WWE WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is reportedly being internally planned for April 10 and 11, although the supplied report lists the year as 2026. According to Brandon Thurston and John Pollock, those involved in planning WrestleMania are currently working towards that weekend, despite WWE not officially announcing the dates. An announcement is reportedly expected by Crown Jewel on November 7. WrestleMania 43 will continue WWE’s run of major Saudi Arabian events, following the 2026 Royal Rumble and Night of Champions, with Crown Jewel also scheduled to take place in Riyadh later this year.

Jim Ross is set to undergo brain surgery on Wednesday morning due to complications with the shunt implanted in his head in August. The 74-year-old WWE Hall of Famer recently described the shunt as “problematic”, revealing that it had already been adjusted three times and that he was experiencing severe headaches. The device was originally implanted to drain excess brain fluid following issues with falls, memory and balance. Ross is also dealing with other health concerns, including an undetermined spot on his kidney and an ankle wound that has not healed following skin cancer radiation treatment. The latest surgery has further delayed his planned return to his part-time AEW commentary role.

WWE is reportedly targeting the weekend of February 6 for the 2027 Royal Rumble at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. According to Fightful Select, WWE has not yet officially announced a date, but multiple sources believe the event will take place that weekend. The timing would allow WWE to avoid direct competition with the NFL’s AFC and NFC Championship Games on January 31 and Super Bowl LXI on February 14. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches are expected to earn championship opportunities at WrestleMania 43, which will take place in Saudi Arabia, although WWE has yet to officially announce its date or venue.
