More wrestlers across WWE and beyond have continued posting tributes and messages about Asuka following reports that she may now be “semi-retired.”
Speculation surrounding Asuka’s future intensified after her loss to Iyo Sky at WWE Backlash on Saturday, with reports later claiming wrestlers backstage were saying goodbye to her following the event.
Since then, several current and former stars have praised Asuka on social media, though WWE has not officially commented on the situation. AJ Styleswrote that while he did not know the full details surrounding the reports, he believes the four-time women’s champion’s legacy is undeniable.
“I don’t know the facts, but I know @wwe_asuka will be a Hall of Famer,” Styles posted.
Michin also shared support for her, writing:
“We love Asuka around here.”
Multiple WWE Stars Praised Asuka & Iyo Sky’s Backlash Match
Several stars additionally praised the Backlash match between Asuka and Iyo Sky. Rhea Ripley described the bout as “phenomenal” while congratulating Iyo Sky after the match.
Nattie praised the passion shown by both wrestlers and called them true leaders in the ring. Bayleyadded:
“Iyo Sky and Asuka are two of the rarest wrestlers in the entire world.”
Former WWE and current TNA Wrestling star Ash By Elegance also reflected on sharing the ring with The Empress of Tomorrow during her WWE debut.
