WWE star Piper Niven has revealed she recently underwent neck surgery in California after spending the past eight months sidelined with what had previously been described as a potentially career-threatening injury. Niven shared on social media that she underwent an anterior cervical discectomy and said she was already feeling better following the procedure. The former WWE star last wrestled on the August 22, 2025, episode of WWE SmackDown, where she defeated Charlotte Flair. There is currently no official timetable for her return to the ring.
Rusev and Gangrel have officially launched the KECH Pro Wrestling Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. The school, which will train both adults and children, marks the fulfilment of a long-time goal for Rusev. Speaking previously about the project, Rusev praised Gangrel’s old-school approach to wrestling fundamentals and credited his former trainer for helping shape his own career.
Swerve Strickland has commented on the future of Aleister Black following Black’s recent release from WWE and speculation about a possible return to AEW. Speaking on the Bootleg Kev podcast, Strickland praised both Black and Zelina Vega, saying he hopes they find whatever fulfils them professionally moving forward. Strickland also credited Black with helping develop his wrestling psychology and character work during his independent wrestling career, describing him as someone with “so many great ideas.” Black was released by WWE last month as part of the company’s post-WrestleMania roster cuts.
