A recent segment on WWE NXT has sparked debate online, with fans raising concerns over the possible use of AI in production.
The discussion follows comments from Mark Shapiro, who recently stated that Nick Khan and Triple H have been using AI to assist with WWE storylines. While that revelation had already drawn mixed reactions, attention has now shifted to how the technology may be appearing on-screen.
The latest example came during last night’s WWE NXT, where a promotional video featuring Sol Ruca and Zaria was widely criticised online. Viewers pointed to visual inconsistencies in the footage, particularly in close-up shots, which led to speculation that AI may have been used to generate or enhance parts of the segment. Fans highlighted what they described as an “uncanny” look to the video, suggesting the likeness of the performers was not accurately captured.
The Recent WWE NXT Vignette Was Not The First Time The Company Has Been Accused Of Using AI
Outside of this WWE NXT vignette, similar concerns had previously been raised over a vignette involving El Grande Americano, although that instance was often viewed as part of the character’s presentation.
As WWE continues to explore AI within its creative process, the response from viewers indicates growing concern over how prominently the technology may be used in future programming.
