Mike Santana could be headed for free agency, as a new report from PWInsider states that the reigning TNA World Champion’s contract is set to expire in July. Santana has become one of TNA’s top stars since leaving AEW in 2024, winning the TNA World Championship and establishing himself as a leading singles competitor. His profile has grown further through the WWE-TNA partnership, with several appearances on NXT and crossover events. While no decision has been made regarding his future, WWE has reportedly shown interest in Santana for years, making his contract status a major story to watch in the coming weeks.

The CMLL star revealed that fullback Mateo Chávez was selected to Mexico’s 26-man roster for the tournament, which begins June 11. Last week’s post-Double or Nothing edition of AEW Dynamite drew 704,000 viewers on TBS, a 14.9% increase from the previous week’s audience and its highest viewership since April 15. The show also posted a 0.15 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, up 36.4% week-over-week and matching its best demo performance since Grand Slam Mexico in August 2025. Despite facing competition from the NHL Conference Finals, Dynamite finished third on cable in the demo. The one-hour AEW Collision special that followed averaged 498,000 viewers and a 0.08 demo rating. Year-over-year, Dynamite’s total audience was up 10.7%, although its 18-49 rating was down 6.3% compared to the same week in 2025.
