WWE gave additional exposure to one of the most talked-about matches of the year this week, airing an encore presentation of the AAA mask vs. mask showdown between Ludwig Kaiser and Chad Gable on Netflix following Raw.
The match, which headlined AAA Noche de Los Grandes on Saturday, saw Kaiser defeat Gable, culminating their long-running rivalry over the El Grande Americano identity. The bout quickly drew praise from fans and wrestlers alike, with many already labelling it one of the standout matches of 2026.
WWE’s decision to showcase the contest on Netflix highlighted just how highly the company views the match and the storyline that led to it.

The bout originally aired through AAA’s international distribution on WWE’s YouTube channel, where the promotion’s weekly programming is available outside Mexico, Central America, and South America, excluding Brazil.
When Did The El Grande Americano Rivalry Begin On WWE?
The El Grande Americano WWE rivalry began after Chad Gable returned from injury and discovered that Ludwig Kaiser had adopted the El Grande Americano persona in his absence. What followed was one of the most unique storylines in recent history, with Kaiser unexpectedly becoming a fan favourite among Mexican audiences as tensions between the two continued to escalate.
Their feud culminated at Noche de Los Grandes, where Kaiser emerged victorious and forced Gable to unmask. Given the reaction to both the match and the rivalry, the program is already emerging as a strong contender for Feud of the Year honours in 2026.
The match nearly faced an obstacle before it ever happened. Ludwig Kaiser’s arrest in May raised questions about his availability, but Florida authorities did not object to his request to continue travelling while legal proceedings continue. A pre-trial conference in the case is scheduled for July 16.
