WWE has filed two new trademark applications for Danhausen‘s “Human Monies” catchphrase. The filings cover a wide range of merchandise and apparel, including trading cards, posters, comic books, party supplies, clothing, and costumes. The phrase has become a key part of Danhausen’s WWE character, and its applications have grown as the popular star continues to gain momentum on the roster, including mainstream exposure through appearances tied to the NBA Playoffs and Finals. Both trademark applications are currently pending approval.
The trademark filings can be found on the USPTO Trademark search, here, and here.
Cyndi Lauper has received her first official WWE action figure as part of a new three-pack featuring Captain Lou Albano and Roddy Piper from a classic Piper’s Pit segment. Reacting to the figure on social media, Lauper said she was pleased the moment had been commemorated, noting that it reminded her of Albano and Piper and calling it a “classic.” Lauper played a major role in WWE’s 1980s mainstream boom through the Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection, which grew out of her partnership with Albano following his appearance in the music video for “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
