WWE has announced that WrestleMania 42 drew more than 106,000 fans across two nights and ranks among the highest-grossing events in company history.
According to WWE in an official corporate post, total attendance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas reached 106,072, with tickets purchased across all 50 US states and more than 69 countries.
WWE also reported record or near-record performance across multiple areas, including gate revenue, sponsorship, merchandise sales, WWE World fan experiences, VIP packages and digital engagement.
The event was headlined by Roman Reigns defeating CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship on night two, while Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the night one main event.
WrestleMania 42 featured 32 marketing partners, including brands such as Snickers, 2K, Riyadh Season and DoorDash, contributing to one of the company’s largest sponsorship line-ups.
Broadcast figures also reflected strong performance, with WrestleMania Saturday becoming the most-watched telecast of the year on ESPN2, while WrestleMania Sunday was the most-watched programme of the weekend on ESPN.
WWE World, the five-day fan experience held in partnership with Fanatics, recorded its highest-ever paid attendance, while the newly introduced Club WWE membership offering was also featured during the event.
WrestleMania 42 Sees Digital Views Increase Over Last Year’s Event
Digitally, WrestleMania 42 generated more than 1.3 billion views across social media platforms, representing an 18 per cent increase compared to WrestleMania 41. WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, continues to position WrestleMania as its flagship global event, with this year’s edition delivering strong figures across multiple business areas.
