WrestleMania 42 Night Two Lineup Confirmed For Tonight

We’re back again for more WrestleMania action as The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, faces The Ruler in Oba Femi, and the feud between CM Punk and Roman Reigns finally comes to a head in the main event on the grandest stage of them all.

The only question is: Who is The Best In The World on this night?

Once again, we come to you from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett have the call, and your first match of the night is…

Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar

There’s not much fanfare as Lesnar walks down to the ring. The Ruler stares down at The Beast. Lesnar tackles him to a corner, and Femi shoves him off. He grabs the steel steps and then thinks twice about his actions. Femi and Lesnar battle outside the ring, and then he takes The Ruler to Suplex City…bitch.

An F5 would stop a normal man, but Femi pops up and delivers his Fall From Grace to Lesnar to the mat for the pin and the win.

After the match, Lesnar lies in the middle of the ring, takes off his gloves and his boots to gesture that he is done in the sport of professional wrestling.

Say what you will (and I have), he and Heyman embrace in a classy act. I might have more to say, but not tonight.

Six-pack Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio

As for this match, let me explain…

No, there is too much. Let me sum up. Six guys who can bounce around are vying for the IC title suspended up top, in the center of the ring. As for intros, Mysterio comes out with Deadpool-inspired gear.

Penta outdoes everyone with Shao Khan entrance gear, and this is your Mortal Kombat moment.

It’s just spot-erific action with all six men, and at one point, Evans hits a top-rope clothesline on McDonagh. Then he drops Mysterio and Penta super kicks him, and he suplexes Evans to a ladder in the corner. The big spot has Mysterio getting an assist from Penta, and he slams Rusev into a ladder on the outside. Lee nails a Styles Clash to Mysterio, and then McDonagh hits a Spanish Fly for the ladder to the mat
Penta connects with a Mexican destroyer to a ladder. Evans nails with a highlight moment with the OG Cutter to Rusev, but it’s Penta delivering a Mexican Destroyer to Evans, climbs the ladder, which means…

After a break, we see stars like UFC Fixture Daniel Cormier, and Rick Rubin in the audience, along with George Kittle, and I gotta say I admire that man’s propensity for beer.

WWE United States Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams

There are a lot of boos for Sami Hogan…err, Zayn. Even one sign in the crowd says, “Sami Zzzayn.”

Ha!

Lil Yatchy brings out Williams, and Trick has a robe with a train that would be the envy of any bride.

Both men slug it out, and fans are not behind Zayn (can’t imagine why). Williams connects with a BookEnd in homage to his mentor Booker T, but gets a two count. Zayn slams Yachty into the steps and starts displaying some heelish behavior throughout the match. He connects with a brainbuster from the apron edge to Williams, and he nails a Helluva Kick on the outside.

Yachty inserts himself into the match, and Williams almost beats him. An exploder to the turnbuckle and sets up for a Helluva, but Williams delivers a Trick Shot to claim the prize.

Williams’ mom and Dad are prominent in the front row as Zayn absorbs the loss.

After commercials, we see Kittle get a beer by Tyrese Halliburton, as well as a Rob Gronkowski sighting.

(Author’s Rant: Folks, I know how this will sound, but I will fight anyone coming up the hill when I say this: Kittle is The Man when it comes to drinking beer. I said what I said.)

Now for an unsanctioned fight between…

“The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio

Dom is led out on a throne with extras wearing the original Mysterioso mask.

He whips the mask to Cole, who wonders what liquid was on it; Barrett calls it “championship juice,” and I cannot hear that. Bálor comes out in all pomp and circumstance, and Mysterio is questioning all his decisions at this moment.

He unloads on the upstart, and then the battle goes outside with a kendo stick thrown for good measure. Mysterio introduces some hardware to even the affairs, and then gets two chairs set up in the center of the squared circle. Bálor slams him onto them, followed by a sling blade. They hold nothing back as Bálor misses a double stomp and Mysterio hits him with a chair for a count of two. A table gets in the ring as “Dirty Dom” hurls him into the hardwood. Mysterio connects with a 619 to Bálor, and then a frog splash gets a two count. He swings the chair on his back and brings out another table. The Demon perks up, swings a chair on his back, and drills him with a running dropkick. Up top, he delivers the coup de grace on Mysterio and ends him in three.

WWE Women’s Championship: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Both women have dramatic entrances, but the fans pop harder for “Mami”

Alicia Taylor gives the boxing-style intros, and once the bell rings, they circle, then lock up. Both women display their power, but it’s Ripley who gets the upper hand until a powerslam by Cargill gets a two count. She tosses her to the barricades outside, and a thunder bomb gives Cargill another count of two. Ripley gets on offense and connects with an electric chair to a faceplant, but can’t put Cargill away. They jockey for position and Cargill hits a spinebuster for another near fall. She attempts her Jaded finisher, and Ripley rolls through. Now Michin and B-Fab distract the ref, and Cargill uses the opportunity to cause some damage

She gets tossed out, and Iyo Sky comes to even the odds on Michin and B-Fab. One Riptide later, and Ripley regains the belt.

John Cena is out and announces that this evening’s attendance is 55,255, bringing the overall attendance at Allegiant Stadium to 106,072.

Hey, that’s probably more fans there than at a regular Raiders game.

I kid, folks, I kid (mostly).

Now that concludes Cena’s duties as host, but that brings out The Miz and Kit Wilson, ranting that this is still his show. Cena obliges, and that brings out Danhausen, with mini Hausens following after a coffin car.

He thanks everyone for attending “Wrestlemania-hausen.” Miz is not happy, and he gets his minions to attack Wilson and Miz since He. Is. Cursed!

Now that brings us to your Main Event, and it is for the…

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns

A singer gives an aria to bring out the Original Tribal Chief (OTC if you’re nasty).

As for Punk, he comes out wearing a white jacket showing his beloved dog Larry, who passed away, along with WWE backstage personnel that also passed away, like Davey Coates, Bo Lueders, Kerwin Silfies, and Jim Shank. The back of his jacket has a purple crown paying homage to Harley Race.

Once again, Alicia Taylor gives the boxing style intros. The bell rings, and they stand toe to toe, talking smack. They lock up, and the mind games start with Punk quickly getting into Reigns’ head rent-free. He gains traction and stays on top, and dumps him out of the ring. He slams Punk’s head into the post, and they brawl on the outside into the crowd. Punk gets a little arrogant on the commentary desk, and Reigns dumps him on the floor.

Back in the ring, they slug it out, and Reigns is in control. A Superman punch misses the mark, and Punk connects with a crossbody to punching his head. A heel kick to a running knee in the corner, and he signals Reigns needs to Go To Sleep. He tosses him hard to the post, and a punch to Punk lays him out for two. He signals for a spear, and Punk catches him with two knees in the corner.
He sends Reigns out and slams his head on the commentary desk, and then thinks about a big move, but the OTC has other ideas.

Punk is hung up on the top, and Reigns takes advantage with punches and steel steps to his face to bust him open. He clears the Spanish announce table and throws him into it. He attempts to finish the job but runs into a GTS for a two count. He goes again, and Reigns nails a spear for another close near fall. Reigns bounces his head like a basketball and signals he needs to Go To Sleep. Punk blocks and connects with a roundhouse kick.

He locks and unloads his own Superman punch for two, and Punk keeps him down. He grabs the Ula Fala for a big move, and a spear gets averted, and he goes for a submission, but Punk reverses to the Anaconda Vice.
They counter in submissions, and then both get clotheslines to keep them down.

Dueling chants of “C-M-Punk/O-T-C!” ring out in Allegiant Stadium. Both men give no quarter, and he throws his wrist tape at Reigns. The ref grabs it, and Punk uses the moment to land a low blow to his…err, little Tribal Chiefs and gets a GTS for one, two…so close. He gets Reigns on the commentary desk and lands with an elbow drop. Back in the ring, he hits another GTS, and Punk attempts another, but he collapses in a heap. Reigns hits a spear, and Punk is on dream street. He runs the ropes, and another spear keeps Punk down for the one, two, and three.
