Will Ospreay Wanted To Let Fans See PAC's Black Arrow One Last Time

Will Ospreay hopes that performing the Black Arrow in honor of PAC helped give fans an emotional release.

On the September 30th edition of Dynamite, AEW paid tribute to PAC following the star’s tragic death at only 40 years old. During the show, two of PAC’s rivals clashed when Will Ospreay took on Ricochet. After several nods to the Bastard throughout the match, Ospreay put Ricochet away with a Hidden Blade followed by PAC’s finishing move, the Black Arrow.

After the show, the Aerial Assassin posted the moment on social media, revealing he had spent hours practicing the Black Arrow. While he hadn’t performed the move in eight years, Ospreay said something told him that it was a night he could make the jump.

“Got to the arena at 2PM and was in the ring til doors opened practicing.

I haven’t performed the Black Arrow for 8 years

Something told me on this night I could make the jump.

I threw my heart out in front of me and Ben caught it.

Thank you Pac”

Will Ospreay Knows He Couldn’t Perform Black Arrow As Well As PAC

In a story on Instagram, Ospreay said he was honored by the reaction to his performance of the move, but admitted he could not have done it as well as PAC himself.

“Loved seeing the reaction videos to the Black Arrow.

Honoured that I could’ve given so many people that loved Pac one last look.

I hope that was the emotional release everybody needed and I’m so grateful I could’ve given that to you.

Nowhere near as a good as bens but that’s what made him so special. One of One.

Thank you all.”

Following the match, Will Ospreay paid tribute to PAC, thanking him for the inspiration he gave him as a young wrestler in England.
