Will Ospreay has aligned himself with one of AEW’s most dangerous factions, marking a stunning new chapter following his victory at AEW Forbidden Door.
During Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay officially joined Jon Moxley‘s Death Riders after accepting an offer from the group’s leader earlier in the show.
The episode opened with a backstage interview featuring Renee Paquette and Ospreay following his Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament victory at Forbidden Door. After the interview concluded, Ospreay met Moxley outside his locker room, where the former AEW World Champion once again encouraged him to help protect professional wrestling before offering him a place in the Death Riders.
Later in the night, Ospreay teamed with Moxley to defeat Blake Christian and Lee Johnson. During the match, Ospreay was seen wearing a Death Riders patch on his ring gear, signalling that he had accepted Moxley’s offer.
Shortly afterwards, AEW confirmed on social media that Ospreay had officially joined the faction.
Will Ospreay Joins The Death Riders A Year After They Put Him Out Of Action
The alliance comes less than a year after the Death Riders sidelined Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door 2025. Despite their history, Ospreay has now chosen to stand alongside Moxley and the group following his Owen Hart Cup triumph.
Ospreay is set to face the AEW World Champion at All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on August 30. The current AEW World Champion is MJF; however, if MJF were to lose the title, Ospreay would face whoever holds the title on August 30.
