Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor saw their WrestleMania 42 clash altered at the last minute, with a specific reason behind the decision.
Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor’s match on night two of WrestleMania 42 was changed to a Street Fight during the kickoff show, following a late adjustment made during WrestleMania week.
According to a Fightful Select report, WWE opted to make the change after recognising that the two-night card featured a high number of standard one-on-one matches. The decision was made to introduce more variety to the show and avoid repetition across the event.
The stipulation change significantly altered the tone of the contest. With Balor competing in his Demon persona, the match quickly became more physical, incorporating weapons and table spots as part of the action.
