Jack Perry‘s future with AEW reportedly remains unresolved as negotiations over a new contract continue.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez provided an update on Jack Perry’s status, claiming the former TNT Champion had not signed a new deal as of last week.
“As of last week, he was not,” Alvarez said. “It’s possible he signed today, but I think he’s still unsigned.”
The update follows previous reports that Perry’s AEW contract was close to expiring and that both sides were in talks over a new agreement. While it is still widely expected that Perry will remain with the promotion, Alvarez noted that no deal has been finalised.
Jack Perry’s Lengthy AEW Tenure
Jack Perry has been part of AEW since the company’s launch in 2019 and has established himself as one of its longest-serving stars.
During his time with the promotion, he has held the TNT Championship, National Championship, World Tag Team Championship alongside Luchasaurus as Jurassic Express, and the now-retired FTW Championship. He also won the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing in 2021.
Perry has endured a difficult run in recent weeks, however. He was eliminated from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament by Mark Davis after previously losing the National Championship to Davis at the Fairway to Hell special. He also came up short against Zack Sabre Jr. on this week’s Dynamite episode.
