A former WWE broadcaster has revealed that a return to the company remains a possibility after being told by Triple H that the door would always be open.
Speaking with TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring, Kayla Braxton reflected on her 2024 departure from WWE and discussed her plans to establish an identity outside the company before potentially returning. According to Braxton, Triple H offered his support when she informed WWE of her decision to leave.
“Well, when I left, Triple H did say that to me. He said, ‘The door is always open here,'” Braxton recalled. “Which is such a nice thing to hear from your boss when you’re the one walking away.”
While she did not rule out returning one day, Braxton explained that her immediate focus is on building her own brand and pursuing opportunities beyond wrestling.
“I don’t think I ever see myself going back in the same capacity,” she said. “When I left, I just hoped I could go away and create my own brand for myself.”
Kayla Braxton Said If She Accepted Triple H’s Offer To Return To WWE, She Would Do So In A Different Role
Kayla Braxton added that she wanted to move beyond being known solely for her WWE work and explore projects that would have been difficult to pursue while under contract with the company. She suggested that if she ever accepts Triple H’s offer and returns, she could do so in a completely different role.
“Maybe I come back one day and take Paul [Heyman]’s job for like a month, and I’m the manager for whoever he’s managing at the time. Who knows?”
Braxton indicated that any potential WWE return would likely be several years away as she continues to focus on her post-WWE career. After joining WWE in 2016, Braxton became one of the company’s most recognisable on-air personalities through her backstage interview work and appearances on shows such as Talking Smack and The Bump. She announced her departure from WWE in 2024 after nearly eight years with the promotion.
