TNA President Carlos Silva has given his explanation for why TNA pulled their talent from indie shows during WrestleMania week.
On SiriusXM’s Busted Open, he detailed what position he was in as the president of the company.
“It was super tough. Look. all of these business decisions are tough,” he explained. “I don’t like being called a little bitch on social media than anyone does….But, it’s okay. You take the good with the bad. You have to make some hard decisions. My job sometimes is to make hard decisions.”
He made it clear he is there to protect TNA and the brand at all times.
“We are going to make decisions that are good for TNA and we are going to protect TNA,” he said.
Without naming them, Silva took a shot at AEW who moved their Collision show to Thursday night a few weeks ago so as not to have to compete with March Madness but according to Silva there is more to the story than that.
“We have had other folks come into our nights. They have made some decisions and they have tried to block us in arenas and venues. That stuff is real and it is out there. That is okay because everyone has to make decisions for their own business,” he said.
At press time, AEW has not responded to Silva’s allegations.
