WWE star Rhea Ripley and her husband, AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews, have welcomed a new addition to their family after adopting a puppy named Choppa. Ripley shared photos of their new pet on Instagram, revealing they adopted him from Polk County Bully Project. Describing Choppa as a “beautiful little gremlin,” Ripley encouraged her followers to support the rescue organisation and consider adopting other dogs looking for homes. The announcement comes as both wrestlers remain absent from television due to injuries. Ripley is currently in the early stages of her rehabilitation, while Matthews has completed his recovery and has been fully cleared to return to action.
WWE is reportedly holding internal discussions about whether Crown Jewel 2026 should take place in Saudi Arabia amid escalating regional tensions. According to Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Weekly, company officials discussed the situation on October 8 following reports of missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi forces targeting Riyadh’s airport and other facilities, leaving three people dead. The US government has issued travel warnings, citing security concerns and potential flight disruptions. Crown Jewel remains scheduled for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium, where construction preparations are already underway. WWE reportedly would not suffer a financial loss if the event were relocated. Despite the uncertainty, WrestleMania 43 remains scheduled for Saudi Arabia in 2027.
Previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage from a 1995 WWF tour is set to be made public in October 2026, more than 30 years after it was recorded. MLW and JCW commentator Joe Dombrowski, who operates Pro Wrestling Library, announced the upcoming release on X, revealing that a trailer will debut next week before the full footage becomes available later this month. The material appears to have been filmed by Darryl Peterson, who competed in WWF as Man Mountain Rock and in WCW as Maxx Payne. The footage was reportedly captured during Peterson’s final WWF tour in 1995, offering a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the company then.
