A recently released WWE star appears to be preparing for life after the company with a new ring name and fresh presentation ahead of free agency.
Former WWE star Zoey Stark has started rebranding herself as Zoey Serrano following her release in April. Stark also hinted at using the nickname “The Purist” in a new promotional video documenting her recovery from injury and return to training.
The former WWE star updated her social media handle to Zoey Serrano and shared the video, along with hashtags referencing WWE, AEW, and TNA Wrestling. The video also showed Stark training alongside AEW star Brian Cage. Throughout the clip, Stark spoke emotionally about her connection to professional wrestling and the role it has played throughout her life.
“It’s what I live for,” Stark said. “This is what I believe I was put on this Earth for.”
She also described wrestling as an escape during difficult periods growing up and said she is excited to express herself in a new way. Stark ended the video by teasing what could happen once her 90-day non-compete clause officially expires later this summer.
“If I’m good now, imagine what it’ll be like when my 90 days are over,” she said.
When Did Zoey Stark Last Compete In WWE?
Zoey Stark has been sidelined since the May 19, 2025, episode of WWE Raw after suffering a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus injury. Stark was released as part of the post-WrestleMania roster cuts on April 24. Her non-compete period is expected to run through late July.
