Orange Cassidy has gone into detail about an injury that left him throwing up blood.
Pro wrestlers are known for working demanding schedules, often wrestling several times a week throughout the year. The only breaks some stars get is when they are forced to take time off to recover from injuries.
During an interview on The Rizzuto Show, Orange Cassidy recalled some of the injuries that left him out of action.
“I only stop when I get hurt. I’ve taken some time off, I separated my shoulder once in 2022… I got thrown out of the ring by a giant man, and I fell on my head, and I separated my shoulder. I had three months off then. Then I came back, and then I just tore my right pec a couple of years ago and I was out for five months, but then I’m right back at it.”
Cassidy was then asked about the worst injury he had sustained in his career. The star said it was after he took a knee to the face that left him with a broken orbital bone.
“I broke my orbital bone in my sinus on my face. I don’t want to get too… It happened, and I broke my face, and when you rupture the sinus, the blood goes down your throat and into your stomach.
“I didn’t know this. I was very nauseous, and I went out back at the small little building we were wrestling at, and I leaned over and my friend took a video of it and it looked like, funny enough around October, The Exorcist, the blood was shooting… It was just straight blood because all of it was just going down into my stomach and it came back up.
Orange Cassidy Had To Be Knocked Out After Dislocating His Shoulder
While that was the worst injury, Cassidy also talked about another that dislocated his shoulder inward.
“My shoulder got dislocated. When you think of a dislocation, it goes out, right? My shoulder went into my body. They had to knock me out and the two nurses had to wrap sheets around, like bedding sheets, around my arm while the doctor held my body and they pulled it out.”
On the October 21st edition of Dynamite, Jay White turned on Orange Cassidy and The Conglomeration. Under the Switchblade’s leadership, The Bang Bang Gang has formed a new group with The Dogs, which will be known as The Cut.
